Many "left wingers" in the UK have been at the forefront of Israeli boycotts here in the UK, much to their bemusement as they are called "nazis" and "fascists" when all they really stood for in the first place was anti-war causes. I think many have been upset and surprised at the ferocity of the attacks against them - being told they were antisemitic when they weren't has made them question the validity of the claim, I think.
