Default more on cavalry

There's more on this subject, on the messageboard of the realrome yahoo group. We need a federal subsidy NOW, so we'll have mules and horses when China and Mexico are exterminating the Whites here in N. America.

I. Shoeing. Today, few young men in the U.S. know how to shoe horses.

A. Genetics. Some breeds, like Marwari and Kathiawari, seem to have less need for shoeing. This might be true of Mustangs also, due to natural selection. There's a woman in Massachusetts who is trying to save the Marwari breed, but much such genetics exists in India in Kathiawari or part-Kathiawari horses.

B. Nutrition. I've seen at least one scientific study showing that moderate biotin supplementation helped. This is widely believed.

C. Adaptation. Like digestion, the hoof responds to a lifetime of moderate stress.

D. Mules are said to have less need for shoeing.

II. Size of pack mules. The 19th cent. U.S. Army preferred 14 hands high. These were said to have a different gait from taller mules. The gait was said to give them fewer pack sores. Pack mules were preferred to wagons.

III. Color of pack mules. The 19th cent. U.S. Army preferred dark mules. This made them less visible, especially at night, and also less susceptible to skin cancers.
