After Robert A. Knight bludgeoned his girlfriend to death with a hammer, he placed her head and arms in his freezer and scattered other remains around his West Side apartment complex.
Knight, 51, pleaded guilty to murder yesterday, showing no emotion in the hearing before Franklin County Common Pleas Judge Charles A. Schneider.
Sentencing was postponed until March 3 so Knight could make funeral arrangements for his mother, who died Thursday. The mandatory prison sentence is 15 years to life.
