I first learned of the affair in the book The History of the SS. It went into much detail on it, but I do not have my copy in front of me.

This is the mainline historical record. I would prefer to believe it not true, so please do show me some evidence to the contrary, apart from the word of Adolf Hitler, who I am not against.
