High foreheads are a Celtic trait. The Scotch-Irish are known for that characteristic, very common phenotype in the Southeastern U.S.

As for the dusky Miss Rocket City, it's hard to say. Gypsies are pretty rare in the South, much more rare than Jews who came to the South as merchants setting up stores and selling on credit to Whites and negroes after the Civil War. Curtis doesn't sound like a Jewish name, but there was Tony Curtis, a Hungarian-American Jewish actor, whose real name was Bernard Schwartz.

I thought big foreheads were considered a sign of good breeding and intelligence, and considered beautiful? That may or may not be true, but I'm pretty sure it's not inbreeding.

As for why some of the plainer ones join the contests, why not? They don't just pick the prettiest. A sweet plain Jane could win in congeniality or something like that.

I have a feeling most of these women can be complete bitches. It's the environment. Tons of women together in one place competing? They probably do nothing but trash talk nonstop out of jealousy. Probably call each other inbred.

Most attractive women do tend to have high foreheads, which is evidence of superior intellect and good breeding.

Low foreheads are a much more primative, less evolved feature and tend to suggest low intelligence:

High vs HUGE disportioned forehead. They look HUGE! I have a high forehead but not like those ladies. Do you not find them odd lookin or is it me?

These are Stepford Wives by another name.

I seriously don't think anyone considers these the 'best of the best.' And I don't think society considers them ideally beautiful either. Even within their own type, they're not the best looking women you could find. It takes very little beauty-contesting for these women to take on a professional freshness that is the counterfeit of the real thing, and I think most people can see this. These are women who have had their bodies and minds scrubbed and sanded until they are technically perfect. That is not beautiful, that is polyester. These are women who don't give off any smells, they are plastic dolls in appearance, and their speech is as predictable as what a doll says when you pull the string.

I mean, really? A beauty contest? Who put her up to that? What's up with that gap in the hair? MY hair doesn't go that far back. And the flat head on top.

She has hair, it's just blonde and a little finer that it could be, so harder to see.

Then, there's Little Debby. She's all grown up, done dropped the cookies and cakes business and doing the beauty contest circuit:

To me, she's a perfect example of how so many blue-eyed 'beauties are merely vapid.
