Anonymous cyberattack on Israel #opIsrael
Anonymous takes down over 9,000+ Israeli sites, wipes databases, leaks email addresses, passwords, and it's growing. When the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) this week began taking military action in the Gaza strip against Hamas, Anonymous declared its own war as part of #OpIsrael. Among the casualties are thousands of email addresses and passwords, hundreds of Israeli Web sites, government-owned as well as privately owned pages, as well as databases belonging to Bank Jerusalem and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Anonymous is in the midst of a hacking campaign against a number of Israeli sites in protest of attacks taking place on Gaza. The hacking spree, dubbed OpIsrael and begun early Thursday, has resulted in so many Israeli Web sites being defaced or shut down through methods including denial of service (DoS) attacks, that it's hard to keep count. However, some enterprising hacktivists have begun compiling lists of affected Web sites. Targets have included governmental, retail, and business sites -- some belonging to the automotive and fashion industries. The Bank of Jerusalem, one of Israel's largest financial institutions, has received particular attention from the hacktivists -- as the cyberattackers crowed on Twitter about deleting the organization's online database. Access to the bank's Web site has been spotty. Trying to access it yesterday afternoon resulted in nothing more than a database error, and though the site reappeared, it seemed to be offline again this morning. Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs Web site also appeared on Friday to have been attacked and its database either deleted or tampered with. The Web site seemed to be back up and running this morning. According to the latest list from Anonymous, 663 sites have been affected. Some of the file dumps contain what look to be the full names, e-mail addresses, and passwords of Web site users, stolen from breached databases. A press release from Anonymous says that when the government of Israel publicly threatened to sever all Internet and other telecommunications into and out of Gaza, "they crossed a line in the sand." The statement continues: "As the former dictator of Egypt Mubarack [sic] learned the hard way -- we are ANONYMOUS and NO ONE shuts down the Internet on our watch." Anonymous finished with a stark warning to government if it persists in trying to cut telecommunications and Web links. In addition, the collective said that unless attacks cease, the Israeli government "will know the full and unbridled wrath of Anonymous. And like all the other evil governments that have faced our rage, you will NOT survive it unscathed." In a move that separates OpIsrael from many other campaigns, the hacktivists have put together a downloadable "care package" for residents of Gaza in the event that the Israeli government's promises come true and Internet connections are severed. It contains information on evading IDF surveillance as well as basic first aid data. In addition, Anonymous wants to make clear that it is not a "terrorist organization," by stating that the hacker's mission is to "protect the rights of Palestinian people who are threatened with silence.... We know what happens to victims of oppression when the lights go dark." As the BBC notes, while Anonymous enjoys its hacking spree, the Israeli Defense Force has begun a campaign of its own -- a game called IDF Ranks which rewards frequent visitors to its blog, and content sharers, with different badges and virtual military ranks. The Web site says this is to fight "misinformation" concerning the IDF and Israel. On Wednesday, the Web site began a live link documenting the attacks on Gaza. |

There are plenty of reasons to get involved with Anonymous. Here's how. But.. The clowns at chronicle.su claim you shouldn't join Anonymous because "The words rape, faggot, and nigger are used in normal discussion as if hateful and violent connotations carry no meaning. Their spokesperson, Barrett Brown, has used homophobic slurs to insult our writers. "

This is karma for the Stuxnet, Flame and Thunderstruck malware attacks against Iran. 10,000+ sites fucked with, 700 down, to include the IDFblog. I love it.
Don't piss these guys off. |

During events like this, it is a good idea to start spreading around particularly nasty stories about what Israel has been up to since the partition of Palestine.
Spread stories like the Lavon affair, the attack on the USS Liberty, and using white phosphorus on Palestinian school children. Spread these stories to websites that aren't nationalist or racialist and try to wake more people up. Make sure you include links to the current happenings over there. |

And now, millions of idiots around the world think 'Anonymous' is a centralised group? Being able to be identified as Anonymous is a contradiction in terms. The second someone is identified, they stop being anonymous. That said, whoever is behind this is doing some good work. |

Ya gotta love the idea, although they have Antifa Anonymous groups also. Some efforts are very basic and admittedly novice, but the IRC chat rooms where the big boys plan the serious DOS attacks and other strategies are phenomenal.
I keep a respectful distance. |

Yeah people don't understand that anonymous isn't one group that agrees on everything.
Anyone can claim the anonymous name. The #opblitzkrieg operation is anti-white and anti-WN for example. |

Anonymous arenothing bunch of socialist/left wing cowards with too much time on their hands. They can't even show their face when all of their activities are completely in line with mainstream political thought. It's well within the bounds of anti-racist dictim to be anti-Israel. Anti-Israel is not anti-Jew. To many in the left, Israel is viewed as a white country oppressing the brown masses of Palestine. To them, it's the same story of us "stealing" land of Indians. When we all know that's not exactly the truth.
You can be sure that anonymous would target this site and other similar sites, behind the safety of their masks. Taking no risk as far as politic exposure or possible termination of employment among other things. I have absolutely no respect for them what-so-ever. |

Anonymous leaks personal information of 5,000 Israeli officials Internet hacktivist group Anonymous has declared cyberwar on Israel, posting personal data of five thousand Israeli officials online. The group used their Anonpaste.me site to address a message to the Israeli government before linking to the page with names, ID numbers and personal emails of 5,000 officials. The message said: "It has come to our attention that the Israeli government has ignored repeated warnings about the abuse of human rights, shutting down the internet in Israel and mistreating its own citizens and those of its neighboring countries." The group also said "Israeli Gov. this is/will turn into a cyberwar." Earlier, the group hacked over 700 hundred Israeli websites, including the Bank of Jerusalem, the Israeli Defence Ministry, the IDF blog, the President's official website and many others. Most of the sites remain down. The country’s finance minister has acknowledged the recent wave of attacks, saying the government is now waging a war on a “second front.” Over the past four days, Israel has “deflected 44 million cyber-attacks on government websites,” Israeli Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz told AP. |

Anonymous has targeted sites like this one, but any time I see a warm body or group of warm bodies give the state of Israel the finger it can only be a good thing.
There are WNist anonymous involved in this endeavor also, but it will not accomplish anything by splitting hairs within the current effort. |
