Holster help
I need a holster for my HK P7. The big manufacturers don't make them, so it needs to be custom made. I called quite a few places, and the quoted prices are way up there. Can any of my VNN friends come up with some suggestions?

No offense, but aren't there about a million firearms discussion forums on the internet? Probably not a good idea to post pictures of your guns on here, in light of what happened back in April. Just sayin'.
Besides, here's a forum specifically dedicated to HK products: http://www.hkpro.com/forum/ I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for somewhere in there. |

You could try one of the these places, all custom/handmade in the USA:
http://www.blackhillsleather.com/ http://www.rgrizzleleather.com/ http://www.dragonleatherworks.com/ I don't have any experience with any of these places, but they seem to specialize in what you're looking for. |

Something else you could do is go into a gun store and try some different types of holsters out and maybe one of them will be a decent enough fit for your pistol? If you find one that is really close, you could always modify it slightly to get a better fit.

Most of the gun stores here carry the fabric uncle mikes holsters. Not my style. I'm having Kirkpatrick leather custom make one for me. The P7 family is notoriously hard to holster due to its design. My next holster hunt will be for my HK VP9. Since it's new on the market, leather will be kinda hard to find.

Got my holster! Nice work, fits the pistol nicely, and doesn't print. Damn expensive, though....

What carry position is the holster designed for?
Are you left handed? |

Strong side ITW ( in the waistband). I like to carry just behind my left hip. Usually I prefer a thumb break ( positive retention) but the metal clip in this one holds it pretty snugly.
