Default Opinions on Walther firearms

Did a search and nothing came up on the forums. I've watched a bunch of YouTube videos, but I've always liked to get personal opinions from people who have experience with the object in question.

Any opinions on the quality/durability of Walther pistols? Specifically the Walther PPX1 chambered in 9MM?

My dad brought a 7.62mm PPK back with him from Germany after WWII. It was not new when he acquired it. He packed it for the remainder of his life, and I pack it with me to this day.

If the model you're looking at is anything like the one I have, you'll be very happy with it for a good long while.

Best to look at what model the police, military and special forces are issued with, as these are rigorously field tested, for use under all conditions.

They don't like steel case ammo, Donnie. Other than that, I've heard good things about them. Walther makes very good quality firearms. They also make a cool MP5 A5SD under license from HK ( I have one). I usually carry a Sig Equinox .45 or my USP, and have a PPK for my ankle. I wish they made the PPK in 9 mil. It would be the perfect carry gun ( in my opinion ).

The guy in this video is mainly reviewing concealed carry options for summer apparel, but goes into an extemporaneous tribute of the Walther PPS about halfway through.

Worth watching on both accounts:

Good choice, but HK just released the long awaited VP9. I was lucky to be included in a pre-ordered group buy. 550.00 for the LE model. I cannot believe I'm getting an HK for under 1,000.000!
