Default 37 Things You Should Hoard...

FEMA has ordered 420 million survival meals. Why would they need a 7000% increase of survival meals?

Not trying to sound like a fear monger, but do you have enough food to get through a crisis? Ask yourself if you'd be eating in a week if your food ran out today. Check out these cheap 37 critical items now...

When are you going to quit hoarding that hundred bucks you owe Linder?

So, does the guy on this infomercial ever get around to actually telling you what the 37 items on his armageddon shopping list are; or do you have to buy his book to find out?

Sorry, I'm way too ADD for that long a spiel.

All I am hoarding is rice. It' like 50 cents a pound.

Get beans too, you can survive on beans & rice forever and they're cheap.

I have enough food stored to keep 30 people healthy for 4 months. I also have meds, coffee, salt, seeds & impliments. My main focus now is mason jars for canning produce I plan to grow in the garden.

You can cure meats in brine, by smoking, packing in salt, or pickling in jars. Veggies are a lot easier and just as good for you.

You better get prepared, the shit is in the wind.

Or just by spam & vienna sausages, corned-beef hash, etc.

Seems a lot easier than doing it the old fashioned way.

Probably cheaper too.

And you can always eat it if society doesn't come apart at the seams a few years from now.

Food for 30 people for 4 months and a new pickup truck and yet you can't afford to pay Linder the 100 bucks you owe him.

It is possible that one day the government might decide to default on entitlement payments to the millions of Americans who receive monthly Social Security, SSI, disability, welfare and food stamp payments.

If they do, there will be rioting and disorder on a scale never seen before in the United States.

Millions of pissed off recepients who don't have any savings to tie them over will be going beserk.

It will make the Rodney King riots look like a cub-scout marshmellow roast.

Meat, meat, meat, water and salt. Everything else is wasted space.

Seriously, I am not worried. I have spent many days with my grandfather who taught me what helped him and my relatives survive the Great Depression. It was not hoarding that got them through it, it was finding a good community of folks that were willing to work together so that everyone makes it through.

There are Amish, Mennonites, Plain folks, and rebels all around me. Thankfully the damn 'preppers' are moving in 40 miles west of me, 10 miles down wind, you are not going to believe this, to nuclear reactor that some raghead tried to blow up 15 years ago.

My area is self sufficient in growing its own food, has natural boundaries, and any roving nigger gangs will have to make it pass 40 miles of pissed off rednecks in all directions before making here. Our water will come from the mountain streams.

One of the nation's largest paper mills is nearby and we also have a large foundry. Our electricity comes from the TVA (damns), and we have hundred of thousands of acres of woodland all around us.

An economic collapse will only cause a few months of hardship around here before things get back to normal. Most folks here are only one or two generations from knowing what real poverty is, so they know how to survive as a community if they have to.

So hoard all that you want to, what do I care? When your food start to run low, and you will need to replenish or to move to an area where you can start over, by then you will find signs at the edge of towns like mine, just like during the Great Depression, telling you to move on because we can only take care of our own.

I was talking to a guy from Kosovo who told me the worst of it, scrounging in a war zone, was not having stuff like shampoo, razor blades, bath soap, tooth paste, and toilet paper.

Whoever has tobacco products and fuel wins. Or becomes the no. 1 target.

Having a decent amount of food on hand comes in handy sometime. It feels good to pull your dinner out of the pantry, and not have to make a market run.

Rice takes water to prepare, though. When you're trying to save up on water it's not really a good idea to have a food source that depends on it to be prepared (unless you drink the water you used to prepare the rice? It's been boiled anyways).

Barley, Noodles, Sardines, Kipper Snacks, Nado Miso. Feeding the masses. Fresh greens in the garden. Feeding ourselves.

MRE's and pallets of 'em. They're not that bad but if you have a delicate stomach, the accessory foods (crackers, biscuits, peanuts, fruit bars, etc) that comes with them make good reinforcements to regular food.
