So why the fuck did young Solly Miliband reprimand her if she did nothing wrong?
And why did she apologise? Quote:
The police and the CPS are avoiding their obligations but this (hate) law does not allow such facility. There is no defence allowed here because people have claimed they've been ''offended'' regardless of ''context''. Last edited by Henry.; January 9th, 2012 at 05:12 PM. Reason: correct spelling. |

Well, they've said her comment must be taken in context with other tweets.
Here's the context: Her explanation was that you are limited to space in a tweet, which you are. 140 characters. Her tweet could easily have accommodated a "d", "have" and "ed" to change it to "loved" and "have played their game". She also told "bimadew" that she was playing (current tense) into a divide and rule agenda. The CPS definition of hate crime: Quote:
Quote:
Racist hate crime is defined as: Quote:
h t t p://www.cps.gov.uk/news/fact_sheets/hate_crime/ If over 40 people felt offended, then they felt offended. It shouldn't be up to the CPS to judge what goes on in someone else's mind or what they feel.

I know - I was just agreeing with you, albeit in a long-winded way.

Abbott has acknowledged the offence in her apology: the offence has been registered by more than 40 victims; and so the issue turns on whether her words might incite others to take adverse action or form adverse (hateful) opinions against white people, and once again, the only (perceived) opinion that matters lies solely with those 40 or more complainants, not the CPS.
These 40+ people are being denied remedy. And this denial of remedy by the CPS compounds the offence and makes them (the CPS) party to the offence and as such, culpable in law. The victims of Abbott's hatred must take this further. |
