156 articles so far. Vs 1000 on the triple jumper and about same on 'human rights' report.

The AP report by far is the most circulated. It included one statement from a Greek receiving the aid, and one quote from a leftist denouncing the distribution. Real reporting would include a lot more quotes from people at the scene of the distribution, both Golden Dawn conducting it and real Greeks receiving it. But controlled media means just that: the agenda determines how the story is treated. Or even if it's a story at all. When it's 'immigrants' (sic) being beaten up by Greeks, we get close up photos and detailed treatments of their stories, and the article is printed by a large number of AP subscribers. If the story is like this one, the distributors are characterized as extremers who are exploiting people, and the recipients are mostly left out of the story, not personalized, not allowed to explain what the food means to them. The story is run about 1/10th as frequently as the beatings story.

Charity begins at home

By Nick Malkoutzis

Rarely could charity have had such negative connotations as on Wednesday in Syntagma Square, central Athens, where neofascist Chryssi Avgi (Golden Dawn) handed out free food to passers-by, as long as they could prove they were Greek.

The party, which gained 7 percent of the vote in the June elections, was completely open about the fact that it had taken a political choice to feed just Greeks. The sociopathic nature of this decision is self-evident. Nothing sociopathic about opening your borders to third-worlders to swamp the natives, though. This event isn't sociopathic, it's a healthy, natural, native reaction to international-communist-NWO-jewish sociopathy. The fact that the event was a bare-faced publicity stunt is also clear. Golden Dawn's decision to use state funding (taxpayers’ money) for “good causes” is a direct challenge to the parties accused of consistently pocketing or wasting public funds. It underlines that Golden Dawn is a product of the political system’s chronic apathy. Chronic corruption.

It is too late to correct this now, the damage has been done. Cleaning up the political system and completing the transition from the self-serving politics of the last few decades to something more productive will take time. But this is a commodity Greece doesn’t have when dealing with the rise of extremism. Wednesday’s events highlighted that the country is fast approaching social disintegration. Let Golden Dawn take power, and the mess will be cleaned up.

The discrimination exercised in how food was handed out or the fact that Golden Dawn defied a ban by the City of Athens to use the capital’s main square for its event is the least of Greek society’s worries. There was something much darker, more malignant natural and healthy going in Syntagma Square. Anyone wanting to avail themselves of the far-right party’s “generosity” was asked to produce an ID card proving they were Greek. This document was then taken by party members, who recorded all the details. They will all get campaign literature and visits.

In other words, free citizens were voluntarily offering up to fellow citizens a document they are only legally bound to show to representatives of the state. In breach of privacy laws, the personal data on this document was recorded for the benefit of a political party. Aggressive marketing met extremist politics in the shadow of Greek Parliament. Golden Dawn attached conditions to its aid, they were reasonable conditions, and not one Greek complained about them, to all appearances. And why would they?

The fact that we have reached a point where Greek citizens are willing to abandon their rights big lie - what right was abandoned? and give up their dignity for a free bottle of olive oil or carton of milk should be of utmost concern. The fact that a political party is willing to exploit help relieve this desperation or indifference by impersonating authority should be the cause of greatest alarm. This is a breakdown of the basic structures of a functioning democracy and suggests dangerous developments ahead. It requires an immediate and concerted response. Like the government dissolving itself and turning over the reins to Golden Dawn.

The answer cannot be just political. While Greece’s parties must realize the part they’ve played in creating this mess and discover what role they can play in rebuilding the country, there needs to be a wider response. Civil society and the media must contribute to highlighting and combating this problem. This needs to be tackled at the grassroots, not just the top. The grassroots are in line to get potatoes, milk and oil.

Beyond that, though, there needs to be a European reaction. The European Union was formed to bolster and spread democratic principles read: to dictate compliance with what's good for the internationalist jews running the West. Overall, it has done a remarkable job but in one of its member states, the project is unraveling. Democratic institutions are being undermined and society is being divided. The role of the economic crisis, continuing austerity policies and questionable decision-making process cannot be ignored. Recession, unemployment, disparaging comments and the sense of being dictated to are breeding social disharmony. In the relentless chase for fiscal targets, democratic goals are being forgotten. It must be the aim of those with democratic sensibilities within Greece and Europe to take swift action and to prove that charity beginning at home is a principle that was perverted in Syntagma on Wednesday. Perverted would be opening the borders and then siding with the invaders, which is the policy the jew-led-left follows. This public distribution was the definition of charity beginning and home: Greeks helping their fellow Greeks.

What a stroke of political genius! They collected names and addresses of Patriots who were hungry and pissed! What an improvement over the National Alliance technique of littering neighborhoods!

I don't think "believe" is an either/or proposition when it comes to what people think about their government. I watch the jewed news, see surveys and polls, and talk to people. There's a huge level of anger and distrust about government. Obama was supposed to be the Left's savior. Then the Tea Party was going to be the Right's savior. Meanwhile the jewscasters are constantly begging for moderation and a return to compromise so all the shills in DC can continue spending money, starting wars, and taking care of muds without this petty interruption of an economic crisis.

Most people don't "believe" so much as go along and do what their told. As many people here have acknowledged, the parameters for discourse have been set for the general public but that doesn't mean people are content and think the "system" works.

The wedge is already there; economics and reality are going to drive the people and their government farther apart.

Yes, churches have a stranglehold on serving the poor and needy. It's almost as if some sky-god told them to do it.

Look at what Golden Dawn does. They provide security, maintenance and repair, and food. Many Whites want to ignore mud crime until they can't look away any longer. Starting a group in a mostly White area defeats the purpose of making it clear that people must choose sides. A thoroughly niggered area, like Detroit, is hopeless (for now). So I think a group would work best in a small or mid-size city that's still mostly White but has been invaded in the last decade or two. The invasion is still fresh. People are uneasy and worried that the worst is yet to come. A walkable city means a street prescence, which is key in gaining support.

BBC bias:

Black-shirted ultra-nationalists reached out to poor Greeks in Athens

What makest them "ultra-nationalists"? Why aren't they just nationalists?

I'm not sure that ultra-nationalists is SC enough. Maybe they should be super-duper-ultra-nationalist-far-right-extremist-wacko-haters. That would be most accurate.

Distasteful democracy
Neo-Nazi rocker turns Greek MP
‘F**k the whole tribe of Abraham’ and ‘Auschwitz, how I love it’ among lyrics penned by Golden Dawn MP Artemios Mathaiopoulos

A former Nazi-punk rock bassist belonging to Greece’s neo-Nazi Golden Dawn party was sworn into parliament last week, to the consternation and concern of the Anti-Defamation League.

Artemios Mathaiopoulos became a Greek parliamentarian on July 25, replacing Serres Zoe Nikitas, who resigned. Mathaiopoulos is a former bassist for the white supremacist punk band Pogrom, whose lyrics are known for their abrasive, racist, and anti-Semitic character.

An exemplary track was entitled “Auschwitz,” which included lyrics such as “piss on the Wailing Wall,” “Juden Raus,” “f**k Anne Frank,” “f**k the whole tribe of Abraham,” and “Auschwitz, how I love it.”

“It is outrageous, but not surprising, that the latest member of the neo-Nazi Golden Dawn party to join the Greek parliament has a history of promoting anti-Semitism and racism through his music,” said Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director. “This is a political party led by anti-Semites and Holocaust deniers and it is troubling that they were elected to parliament amidst Greece’s economic and social crisis.”

Golden Dawn party currently holds 18 seats in the Greek parliament.

The ADL expressed dismay at the announcement, following national elections in May, that Golden Dawn garnered enough votes to earn seats in Parliament. It condemned a senior party official who questioned the Holocaust’s occurrence.

Golden Dawn far-right party give out food to Greek nationals only – video

Members of the Greek far-right party, Golden Dawn, hand out food to those suffering because of the country's economic crisis, but only to people who can produce an identity card proving their Greek nationality. Golden Dawn entered parliament for the first time in Greece's recent elections, riding a wave of discontent against illegal immigrants in austerity-ridden Greece

Far right on rise in Europe

August 4, 2012

Karen Kissane, Paris and Athens

Golden Dawn supporters in Greece await national election results in May.

WHEN France's far-right National Front was newly minted in the 1970s, the people who backed it were stereotyped as working-class roughs with shaved heads and ugly tempers, sometimes photographed at street demonstrations with their fists punching the air. That was then. This is now.

Thibault, 22, lives in Paris and has just graduated from university with a commerce degree. He has studied overseas and he and his sister Camille, 18, who is studying art history, speak fluent English. Their mother is a school teacher and their father a retired businessman.

On a mild summer evening, they mill on the pavement with a couple of dozen other young people waiting to join a meeting of the youth wing of the National Front, the nationalist party led by Marine Le Pen, daughter of party founder Jean-Marie Le Pen. Jean-Marie once called the Nazi gas chambers ''a detail of history''. Marine Le Pen has been accused of being Islamophobic.

Thibault has followed the party since 2002, when Jean-Marie caused a stunning upset by making it to the second round of the French presidential election.

''I couldn't comprehend why there was so much hatred towards him and why he was being persecuted,'' Thibault says. ''I was aware that he had made homophobic and anti-Semitic comments and I'm happy now that such positions are no longer part of the Front National. Front National is not a White party. Yet 90% of WN act as though it is. I hope WN are more loyal to their wives than they are to their political principles. It must be understood that he is obviously not the same age as Marine Le Pen and that he belongs to another generation … The party now truly reflects all of my opinions, whereas 10 years ago it would have troubled me.''

Thibault and Camille are part of the new face of the right in France, which has seen a surge of support among the young and those living in the provinces, many of whom are economic refugees fleeing the struggling banlieues (suburbs) that ring Paris.

The right is on the rise not just in France but across western Europe. There has been a similar spike in support in Greece where, at the June election, hardship and anti-immigrant feeling catapulted Golden Dawn - a more extreme right-wing party often described as neo-Nazi - into an unprecedented 18 seats in the Greek parliament.

Parties pushing anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim ideas now have significant parliamentary blocs in eight countries, including Germany, Hungary and the Netherlands, where politician Geert Wilders has compared the Koran to Mein Kampf.

They feed unapologetically on growing resentment that foreigners are taking local jobs and welfare benefits. France's anti-Muslim Bloc Identitaire serves a pork-based ''identity soup'' to homeless people; Greece's Golden Dawn hands out food parcels only to people carrying Greek identity papers.

''As anti-Semitism was a unifying factor for far-right parties in the 1910s, '20s and '30s, Islamophobia has become the unifying factor [now],'' says Thomas Klau, of the European Council on Foreign Relations.

British think tank Demos last year used Facebook to recruit more than 10,000 young supporters of 14 parties and organisations in 11 countries to answer questionnaires. The findings revealed a powerful swell in hardline nationalist sentiment in the young across the continent, particularly among men.

Demos used Facebook's own advertising tool to extract data about 450,000 supporters of the organisations. Almost two-thirds were aged under 30, and three-quarters were male and more likely than average to be unemployed.

The resentment about outsiders is peculiarly spread. At this meeting of the youth wing of the National Front in Paris, several members are the children or grandchildren of migrants. Karime, 20, is a railway worker whose grandparents emigrated from North Africa. He, too, complains about migrants edging the French out of jobs and welfare but, for him, the main attraction to the party is Marine Le Pen; his face lights up as he talks about what a warm leader she is, and how she truly understands the problems facing the nation.

For Thibault, those problems can be summed up thus: ''Past governments have failed to assimilate the incoming flux of immigrants and we are now faced with a tremendous challenge with the third generation of people from North Africa and Africa.

''They have no respect for France's tradition and culture and seek to impose their own customs and values, which is intolerable. France is probably the most welcoming country in the world - free education and social security - but we cannot welcome all of the world's misery. For that reason, we need to critically reduce the number of migrants.''

He has come to this view partly because of his mother's experience teaching, he says: ''She is also witnessing this change; numerous children with absent, unemployed fathers, violent and troubled. When you have 70 per cent of the class that isn't French native and who don't speak French, how are you supposed to pass on French culture and its heritage?''

He is also sceptical about the European Union and favours protectionism for French products. His sister, Camille, likes the Front's zero tolerance approach to law and order issues. ''There is an increasing sense of insecurity in the big cities,'' she adds.

While they feel perfectly comfortable with their views, they are aware that not everyone regards the party in the same light. They chose not to use their surnames for this article in case potential employers should find them on the internet.

Le Pen ranked No. 1 of 10 candidates among young voters in the first presidential ballot earlier this year. She has softened the party's stance in ways that appeal to a younger electorate.

French political analyst Nonna Meyer of Sciences Po says she has shifted the party away from her father's image and rhetoric. ''She's younger, she's a woman, she condemns anti-Semitism … She says she is tolerant, it is Islam that is intolerant … she up-ends the discourse,'' Meyer says.

The opposite is the case with Golden Dawn in Greece, where the rhetoric is increasingly savage. Just before the Greek election in June, MP Ilias Panagiotaros promised that if his party were elected, ''It will carry out raids on hospitals and kindergartens and it will throw immigrants and children out on the street so that Greeks can take their place.''

Kostis Papaioannou, former chairman of Greece's National Commission for Human Rights, links Golden Dawn to rising racist violence. ''This is not the rise of the extreme right,'' he told The Saturday Age. ''We have had the extreme right in parliament for a period; they are mainly ultra-conservatives, who pay attention to values like safety and tradition and illegal immigrants. That was as far as they went.

''But Golden Dawn - this is neo-Nazis. They openly use violence and hate speech, deny the Holocaust, and their internal structure is like an army.'' The enemy sees it. Why don't WN? Conservatives and nationalists are not the same thing. In fact, they are enemies.

He says the party's success at a first election in May was followed by a big rise in race attacks, such as one in Piraeus where 25 people entered a house in which Egyptian immigrants were sleeping: three managed to escape but one was badly beaten. ''These people were arrested and they were members of this neo-Nazi party,'' Papaioannou says.

In the last quarter of 2011, there were 70 such incidents in just two neighbourhoods of Athens. Groups attacked people who were walking or waiting for a bus, or unleashed dogs to terrify them.

''This is organised,'' he says. ''In many attacks there are juveniles taking part. Golden Dawn is doing very systematic work in recruiting teenagers in high schools in Athens.''

This is not an image of the party that is recognised by many of those who vote for it. Kostas Fasianis, 39, used to own a mini-market in the Athens suburbs before the economy went bad; now he is unemployed. Politically, he describes himself as a nationalist and a Golden Dawn voter. ''The core of the party is people like me and you, the common people,'' he says. ''Its highest value is that we love our country and are patriotic.''

He wants Greece to guard its borders and deport illegal immigrants, who he believes bring diseases into the country and contribute to rising crime: ''In Athens it's become more violent and it's uncontrollable. People nowadays, they could kill you for five euros.''

Fasianis says it is a lie to say that Golden Dawn activists have ever attacked leftists or immigrants: ''There's no truth at all to that, and it's proved by the fact that no member of Golden Dawn was ever convicted in court,'' he says.

Kostas Papadakis, 35, is the owner of an Athens mini-market and voted for Golden Dawn for the first time in June. He, too, wants a crackdown on illegal immigration, as well as a renegotiation of the sovereign debt repayment deal that is crippling the Greek economy.

''The country has changed dramatically since the first wave of immigrants,'' he says. ''It started with Albania, and now there are people from Africa and Afghanistan, and large parts of Athens have become ghettoes.''

For Papadakis, Golden Dawn is an alternative to the corruption of the conservatives and socialists whose economic mismanagement has brought the country to its knees. Of its more extreme elements, he says: ''Yes, I also believe that there are members in Golden Dawn that act as neo-Nazis. Personally, I have nothing to do with that. I am not a neo-Nazi and not a strong supporter.

''I want Golden Dawn in the parliament to shake up the system. It's so unjust that 10 million Greeks have to pay and suffer for the money that was embezzled by the 300 members of the Parliament.''

A World Economic Forum report on Global Risks 2012 warned that Europe's financial crisis, with resulting 50 per cent unemployment in countries such as Spain and Greece, was sowing ''the seeds of dystopia''.

Those seeds have begun to sprout.

[from print publication Heritage & Destiny, issue 49, July-August 2012]

"The Socialist victory in France threatened to destabilise the political and financial elite's carefully worked out compromise deal to save the Euro, but a far more dramatic threat erupted the same weekend in Greece. The ultra-radical nationalist group Golden Dawn won 21 seats in the Greek Parliament, and is now by far the most hardline national socialist group to have MPs or MEPs anywhere in Europe.

As one British nationalist veteran commented, this is like the BM winning a bloc of MPs at Westminister! Golden Dawn's closest overseas collaboration was with the National Alliance of the late Dr William Pierce, and they published a sister magazine to the NA publication Resistance.

The extraordinary thing is that the main beneficiaries of the Greek political crisis have not been the reactionary conservatives who backed the old Greek military junta (and in the 1980s won a European parliamentary seat through the short-lived National Political Union), nor the populist LAOS party that elected 15 Greek MPs in the 2009 elections but was wiped out this year after falling just below the 3% threshold. Instead increasing numbers of Greeks are turning to what is in effect a national socialist party.

It seems that the latest economic crisis has led many ordinary Greeks, especially older voters and those living in areas with a large immigrant population, to turn to Golden Dawn's well-organised street activists for protection against criminals and disorder. This trend is likely to continue though there remains one potential stumbling block for Golden Dawn: the division between Greek Orthodox Christians and pagans, which has already caused occasional fractures in their ranks." --Peter Rushton, Manchester, England

Greek police evict immigrants from Athens

(AFP) / 4 August 2012

ATHENS - Greek police announced Saturday the launch of an operation two days earlier to evict undocumented immigrants from central Athens as tensions rise over immigration in the debt-choked country.

Immigrants are being sent back either to their native countries or to special centres in northern Greece, police said.

Located in the southeastern extremity of the European Union, Greece has become a popular transit point for migrants from Asia or Africa seeking to enter the bloc.

But as the country struggles with a crippling economic crisis and sweeping austerity cuts, social tensions are on the rise and the increase in undocumented immigrants has fuelled xenophobia and racist attacks.

For the first time in Greek political history, the country recently voted into parliament a neo-Nazi party, Golden Dawn, which has promised to purge the country of illegal migrants.

Current figures show Greece has about 800,000 legally-registered immigrants, while the number of immigrants without papers is estimated at more than 350,000.

On Wednesday police said they were tripling the number of guards along Greece’s border with Turkey, boosting the presence from 600 to 1,800, to ward off any influx of Syrian refugees.

The Athens operation comes as the “troika” of creditors — the International Monetary Fund, the European Union and the European Central Bank — meet with Greek officials to discuss the budget cuts needed to unlock the next tranche of aid in September, worth 31.5 billion euros.

Four months ago, Greece’s Ministry of Public Order and Citizen Protection ran a similar eviction operation in conjunction with a number of city halls.

The cruelty of strangers

Notice that Golden Dawn doesn't need to make simpering appeals to women, per the idiotic Stormfront approach - it just has them. By acting like men rather than conservatives.

By Nikos Xydakis

The distribution this week by Greece’s far-right Golden Dawn party of free food on Syntagma Square was a turning point in society’s moral and spiritual decline. The offer was limited to card-carrying Greek citizens and only after they had submitted important personal information including their blood type.

Even by the contemporary standards of this crisis-hit country, a Greek person communist who hates Greece can only feel shame in seeing volunteers from a neo-fascist party, all of them dressed in black t-shirts, distribute packs of pasta and other foodstuff after inspecting, as it were, the blood of the needy.

One can only feel shame because this brutally racist event was organized right in front of a symbol of democracy, the House of Parliament. Boo hoo. Woo woo woo. Boo-hoo-woo. What a putz.

One can only feel shame because such blood-based discrimination runs counter to the norms and mores of Greek civilization -- from Zeus Xenios, the patron of hospitality and guests, and Athena Xenia, the protector of strangers, both worshiped by our ancient forefathers, to Cappadocian Basil the Great. Right. Greece for Greeks. If you don't like it, move to Somali or Afghanistan and see how those bush niggers welcome you.

“If you come across an enemy in difficulty,” he wrote in his sermon on famine and drought, “do not add revenge to your anger but instead feed him like he fed the brothers who sold him out.”

One can only feel shame and awe at what awaits anyone who discards the founding contract of humanism: “I was alone and away from home, and you did not invite me into your home. I was without clothes, and you gave me nothing to wear. I was sick and in prison, and you did not care for me.” See, Stimpy, there are only 10 million Greeks, and there are nearly 1 billion Africans. Greece can't solve niggerland's problems. Greece has to worry about its own problems and its own people.

No one can pretend to be so naive as to ask: “Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty? When did we see you alone and away from home? Or when did we see you without clothes or sick or in prison? When did we see these things and not help you?”

The question will always invite that same devastating response: “I tell you the truth. Anything you refused to do for any of my people here, you refused to do for me. Then those bad people will go away. They will have punishment forever.” (Matthew 25:41-46).
This putz is threatening Greeks with hell...because they gave their hungry fellow Greeks some potatoes and milk. This is how communists think.

Eternal punishment, or hell is the world for primitive blood and crude violence. Hell is the pasta offered by the black-clad bully. Are you serious? And anyone who turns a blind eye to these vulgar events mumbling phony excuses should be prepared for a world where they will have to display their ID and blood type in order to be able to speak, think and breathe. What a drama queen.

Smile Golden Dawn Food Distribution Video

This is the video that gave Mr Linder trouble. I removed the commercial. Note that Golden Dawn are using their beautiful women to sit at the table and take down all contact information by hand. Why aren't they using laptops for this purpose? This is a great propaganda technique for getting new party members from the hungry and unemployed. Note Kasidiaris. He is the one who slapped the liberal bitch on live television. It looks to me like that Golden Dawn has their skinheads under complete control.

Government Secrecy and the Tinley Park Incident
Special to Council of Conservative Citizens

By: Kyle Bristow

On May 19, 2012, a mob of roughly two-dozen masked leftists armed with crowbars, baseball bats, knives, batons, and other weapons stormed the Ashford House restaurant of Tinley Park, Illinois. Their target was a group of right-wingers who were peacefully conducting a private meeting at which they discussed the state of the economy. The Ashford House was subjected to damage in an amount of over ten thousand dollars, and three restaurant patrons were sent to the hospital by and through the actions of the leftists.

During their escape, five of the leftists who had purportedly engaged in the attack were caught by police officers. Leftists nationwide have dubbed these individuals the “Tinley Park Five” and are portraying them as hapless political prisoners who have done nothing wrong. Collectively, the bail of the Tinley Park Five was set at nearly one million dollars for the multitude of felonies that they are alleged to have committed.

In June, via the Illinois Freedom of Information Act (“FOIA”), I requested from the government of Tinley Park and the prosecutor who is prosecuting the Tinley Park Five DVD copies of any and all 911 calls made regarding the attack on the Ashford House, as well as DVD copies of any and all video footage that was recorded during the Ashford House incident.

Both the government of Tinley Park and the prosecutor’s office denied my FOIA request in its entirety on the basis that release of the requested records would interfere with a pending or contemplated criminal prosecution. I have appealed to the Illinois Attorney General’s Office and have raised such valid points as to why the denial of my FOIA request has been done in violation of state law that the attorney general has issued a statement to me in which it is asserted that they “have determined that further inquiry is necessary” on the basis of the arguments set forth in my appeal.

Not willing to capitulate, Tinley Park has retained the law firm of Klein, Thorpe & Jenkins to mount a defense to my appeal. Although I fully expect to ultimately win—either through the administrative appeal or by way of a lawsuit—, the Tinley Park government appears to be hell-bent on trying to stifle free speech and inquiry into matters of public concern.

Interestingly enough, the lawyer who filed the response to my appeal wrote that there is a “third piece of evidence that would fall under the categorical terms of the request. . . . [T]his piece of evidence is critically important to the ongoing criminal investigation and the search for the remaining suspects. To our knowledge, it has not been shared with anyone other than the States Attorney and other investigating agencies.” One can only speculate as to what this mystery evidence constitutes, but in all likelihood it is surveillance footage of the right-wingers who were meeting at the restaurant. I theorize that the government was spying on the right-wingers from the get-go.

In the interest of furthering political discourse, I will release the 911 audio and video camera footage as soon as it is provided to me.

It is ridiculous to think that some people still put the FN in the same category as Golden Dawn. Others like certain enemy assets on this forum even tell nationalists that they should imitate the French and shun the Greeks, while at the same time pretending to praise Breivik Breivik has far more in common with GD than with the FN.

FN has thrown the baby out with the bathwater - and for what? 18% of the vote. Trust me, what I said is the truth. Even if Goo Girl got elected dictator of France, nothing serious would change. The opposite is true of Golden Dawn and Michaloliakos.

Leader of the extreme right Golden Dawn party Mihaloliakos addresses parliamentarians during a session at the parliament in Athens.

The leader of Greece’s far-right Golden Dawn party has called on the nation’s citizens to boycott Turkish soap operas while barring his MPs from watching them, daily Hürriyet reported today.

"I call on deputies of Golden Dawn and its supporters not to watch Turkish series," party leader Nikolaos Michaloliakos was quoted as saying. He also recommended not watching the commercials that run during the airing of Turkish shows.

Michaloliakos said it was a "shame" that Turkish shows were being aired in Greece, which had a "unique" cultural heritage and said friendly relations between Turks and Greeks was against the well-being of Greece and its citizens.

The neo-Nazi leader said they would bring the issue of the popularity of Turkish soap operas to the Greek Parliament's agenda and would ask the Greek broadcasting authority to intervene.

Pakistani Admits Brutal Assault of Teen Girl on Greek Island
By Andy Dabilis on August 5, 2012 in News

A beach on the Greek island of Paros where police said a teen girl was assaulted by a Pakistani immigrant

ATHENS – Greek police said on Aug. 5 that a 21-year-old Pakistani has admitted smashing a 15-year-old girl’s head onto some rocks on the island of Paros where she was vacationing after she tried to prevent him from stealing her cell phone but have not confirmed initial reports she was also raped.

State television NET said that an angry crowd was waiting at the airport on the island when the man was returned there after being arrested in Athens where he fled on a ferry boat after the attack last month. The vicious assault has angered residents on the island who have dubbed the alleged perpetrator as the “Dragon of Paros.”

Police said he confessed after DNA tests matched him with samples taken from the girl. The man reportedly told authorities he had seen her sitting on rocks on the Chrysi Akti beach, not far from her family. He said when she fought him, he beat her head on the rocks until she became unconscious. She was reported in critical condition in an Athens hospital, suffering severe head injuries. Initial reports said she had been found behind rocks by her family and that the bottom of her bathing suit was missing.

The man had been working as a gardener on the island, news reports said and was apprehended after a random check, part of an ongoing sweep of unlawful immigrants by the government as extremist groups have ramped up anger against immigrants who they accuse of being the source of increases in crime. There were no details available on whether police would take extra precautions with tension rising in Greece against immigrants, spurred by the neo-Nazi Golden Dawn party which won 18 seats in Parliament and has allegedly been behind a series of assaults against foreigners.
