Exclamation Gas could be $3.75 a gallon by spring

Sights like this at a Shell station in San Mateo -- $4 or more per gallon -- could become more familiar throughout California in 2008 as gasoline will cost about 65 cents more per gallon than it did in 2007, analysts predict.

You lucky Americans

Petrol is $8.00 a gallon here across the pond - most of which is of course duty which feeds ZOG.

But you drive maybe 5 miles a day if you splurge and go on a joy ride.

Everything in America is miles apart.

True - but I was highlighting the fact that ZOG gets the money.

If the price of petrol/gas was a similar price to yours I could achieve a lot more for the cause - a round trip of say 600 miles is very expensive.

It is still a paradise compared to some parts of the world - for years people have came here and leached everything that we provided "free" - but take the health service - they have imported a third world workforce and this is what we are seeing - a third world service.

For the past 50 years or so we have imported a foreign workforce to do jobs no-one else wants - now 50% of London is black.

Our taxes, like yours, are going to ZOG and believe me we are not getting value for money now so the only thing we are getting for our taxes is changing our country from white to black in a few generations.

yes, we have to drive 20 miles to work because all the office buildings are downtown , and we gotta live 20 miles away from all the niggers surrounding the city, like some ape-moat surrounding the castle of commerce.

I'll bet you don't have 50 million angry, fat stupid kwans in 8,000 pound SUV's talking on their cell phones and swerving into your lane. I can never see anything because everyone is driving an gigantic SUV with one person in it. We went to war because of SUV's, we need oil because everyone wants to drive an SUV. they all drive like they're experiencing infantile rage, 'get out of my way!'.

the day of reckoning is coming to the SUV bullies. You will pay, motherfuckers, you will pay, literally.

we have this situation here albeit on a smaller scale - ZOG really is getting us in synchronisation.

It is on a smaller scale we have the war on SUV we also have organised (sometimes crap) blockades at the oil terminals if the price of petrol goes up by a penny.

This is why you need to find a way to work out of your house, or walking distance from your house and minimize car use. Alternatively, have a business where the driving is a tax deduction. In the States you get 49 cents a mile tax deduction.

Paying for gasoline to commute back and forth to a shitty office job or shitty service job is just subsidizing your employer for the cost of transportation. Employers should be providing commuter buses or otherwise compensating for the cost of transportation. The Fed gov't estimates that the average cost of a car is 8,000 a year, after tax income. So if you make 24k after taxes, after the car it's only 16000.

If you live in Paris, there is nowhere in the city you can't get to within 15 minutes via the subway, even the remote countryside. You hope on a trail, then the thing goes about 100 mph if you're going out to the countryside, no stoplights. If you had a carry on bike, you could go anywhere very easily, faster than if you had your own car.
In Rome, there are more public buses than cars, you never have to wait more than 5 minutes for a bus, and then you get where you're going faster, don't have to freaking pay for parking, or drive around looking for a parking space.

These European cities have a HUGE advantage, in that they've been investing in public transportation for the past 50 years. The US has been investing nothing. Washington D.C is the only city in the U.S with a decent subway. with a 3 trillion dollar budget, it SHOULD have a decent subway. The Boston Subway has been subject to so many cost over-runs, it's crazy, but at least they realize the need for such a thing.

I took this picture today at a Pilot near Scranton, PA.

Diesel was $4.45 and regular gasoline was $3.49 a gallon.

Default 'scuse me, but...

gasoline has not gone up. the petro-dollar has gone down. divide the current price by ten and gasoline is still thirty-eight cents a gallon. just about what it was in 1968. inflation is a monetary phenomenon. prices will remain stable except for the rise caused by scarecity. in this case, however, too much, way too much paper currency causes the price to rise because there is more than what is adequate for the economy. the dollar is worth less than what it used to be. someone has been shaving the silver coins again. this principle is the reason that housing prices are falling. way too many houses and not enough qualified buyers. too much supply and not enough demand. there is plenty of oil beneath the earth boys and girls. plenty. the big-shots only want to control the market. that is, how much is brought to market. if every wild-catter brought his oil to market there would litterally be a flood of oil. and, just who would pay four dollars for a gallon when earl the oilman will sell me a barrel of the stuff for what exxon wants for a gallon. get the picture. they want control of the market otherwise everything collapses and decends into chaos. this is not a linear equation. stop thinking linearly. the dollar itself is a commodity.

and that is to-days' lesson in economics boys and girls.

When oil was $20 a barrel before George Bush took office with the Republicans, the Saudi's were in deep trouble, their population had doubled in a generation and since everyone in Suadi Arabia gets free money from the government and the Saudi government gets its money directly from the US gasoline pumps, they were in deep shit not being able to provide free things for their people, they were talking about their people actually having to work to make money.

How convenient that they were able to solve their problem once their friend's the Bush's got control of the highest office in the land.

Nope. $2.33 is equivalent to 38 cents in 1968.

this is no master plan of Bush, this is insane idiocy, instead of fighting terror we have just multiplied the wealth of the Saudi's sixfold, with crude now going for $117 a barrel. Saudis will have six times as much money now to finance military schemes, thanks to Bush's horrific incompetence.

I could be wrong, but I can't see how gas was 38 cents in '68 because it was only 44 cents when I started driving in '76
