Go look at the paintings of female nudes in Western art over the past millenia. They never show pubic hair. This wasn't just a case of hair not being painted; models shaved. There was a case I recall of a 18th or 19th century painter (I forget who right now) who had never seen female pubic hair in spite of painting lots of female nudes. On his wedding night he was freaked out because his new wife had pubic hair. He couldn't consumate the marriage because he couldn't wrap his mind around the concept of women having hair down there.

It's a cultural thing; frankly I find overly hairy women far more off-putting than shaved women, but it's really a pretty silly thing to get worked up about. We have bigger issues to worry about.

If I'm with a woman who is completely shaved for a long time, I'll eventually want her to grow it out. If I'm with a woman with a full-on bush for a long time, then I'll start wanting her to trim it. I think it is just the man's brain at work, wanting variety. The grass is always greener, as they say.
