If you want an interactive website with lessons to learn HTML/CSS, Javascript, jQuery, Python, Ruby, PHP try http://www.codecademy.com
It makes it really easy to follow along, since it's interactive and almost like a game going from lesson to lesson. Completely free also. Might even be better to do this before buying or committing to any large books, once you've got the basics down and have some familiarity. Of course you can probably find the higher rated programming books on Amazon and then you could hypothetically find their pdfs on a torrent site like www.thepiratebay.se for example, if they're not already on the site listed above. Hypothetically of course. I recommend learning Python and possibly (much later, after you've already mastered Python,) Ruby. Of course a basic grasp of html is needed if you plan on using them for any web development. Last edited by varg; July 17th, 2014 at 03:20 PM. |
