Among the casualties are thousands of email addresses and passwords, hundreds of Israeli Web sites, government-owned as well as privately owned pages, as well as databases belonging to Bank Jerusalem and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
While it appears anonymous is/was much more concerned with the Jews shutting down internet access to Gaza, they just might come to see exactly what these Jews are doing to the Gazan people and make some neuronal connections as to the true nature of this beast they have engaged. Even hackers with Aspergers Syndrome tend to wake up a bit after seeing pregnant women getting shot in the belly

Anonymous leaks personal information of 5,000 Israeli officials

Internet hacktivist group Anonymous has declared cyberwar on Israel, posting personal data of five thousand Israeli officials online.
The group used their Anonpaste.me site to address a message to the Israeli government before linking to the page with names, ID numbers and personal emails of 5,000 officials.

The message said: "It has come to our attention that the Israeli government has ignored repeated warnings about the abuse of human rights, shutting down the internet in Israel and mistreating its own citizens and those of its neighboring countries."

The group also said "Israeli Gov. this is/will turn into a cyberwar."
Earlier, the group hacked over 700 hundred Israeli websites, including the Bank of Jerusalem, the Israeli Defence Ministry, the IDF blog, the President's official website and many others.

Most of the sites remain down.

The country’s finance minister has acknowledged the recent wave of attacks, saying the government is now waging a war on a “second front.”
Over the past four days, Israel has “deflected 44 million cyber-attacks on government websites,” Israeli Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz told AP.

The Saudi hacker 0xOmar did that earlier this year when he released over 400,000 Israeli credit cards.

Quote:
A group of Pro-Palestinian hackers launched its latest offensive against Israel today (Jan. 16), hitting the country's stock exchange, three banks and El Al Airlines and escalating an international battle that began earlier this month.

The denial-of-service attacks, which disrupted the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE), El Al and the First International Bank of Israel (and two subsidiaries, Massad and Otzar Hahayal), came just after the Saudi Arabian hacker known as 0xOmar warned the Jerusalem Post of his plan to take down the critical Israeli services.

El Al and the TASE both made swift recoveries and were back online and operating normally this morning with no trades or flights affected. The banks said their marketing sites had been hacked but client services were not damaged. 0xOmar has not claimed responsibility for the hack.

Although this latest tactical strike left no casualties no credit cards or personal information was made public, unlike recent attacks it has heightened tensions among between Israel and 0xOmar's pro-Palestinian cohort.

0xOmar's group, formerly "Group-XP" but now called "Nightmare," according to the Jerusalem Post, kicked off the battle on Jan. 3 by posting 15,000 Israelis' credit card numbers. The following week, An Israeli hacker calling himself "0xOmer" retaliated, leaking the credit card numbers and expiration dates of more than 400 Saudis. Then, on Jan. 12, the ever-present hacking group Anonymous stepped in on the Arabs' side, posting what appeared to be login details for Israeli SCADA industrial-control systems.

The Islamist group Hamas supports the anti-Israel cyberattacks, and has urged others to carry out similar strikes.

"This is a new field of resistance against the Occupation, and we urge Arab youth to develop methods in electronic warfare in the face of (Israel's) crimes," Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zurhi told the news service Reuters.

Israeli Information Minister Yuli Edelstein believes the online attacks are part of a larger campaign to tarnish Israel's reputation and its economic stability. He called this latest incident "another episode in the war our enemies are conducting as a campaign of delegitimization to hit our pickets and lifestyle."

"Israel must use all measures at its disposal to prevent these virtual dangers from turning into real threats and to prevent with all its force attacks against it and its institutions," he added. "Today it's credit card theft and toppling websites, and tomorrow it could be theft of security information and harm to infrastructure ."

Lol they're doing this "black fax" (http://faxauthority.com/black-fax/) attack on Israeli embassies too. I guess it wastes their ink and toner, ties up their phone line and makes them unable to receive legitimate faxes.

Granted it's not too serious, more of a prank. But still, it is funny.

Apparently there's no way to avoid them.

DOS rules, but I will celebrate whatever they can deliver.

Not that much of a stretch with many volunteers attempting to gain access at the same pre-appointed time.

LMFAO.

Something similar was/is characterized as slashed dotted, but the same concept.

Over 9000 Israeli Officials document leaked for #OpIsrael

In the last hours the collective has watched again that the Israeli Government targeted and killed innocent civilians, attacked the media and is still trying to shutdown the Internet and telecommunication systems for Gaza. Instead of working on an arrangement for peace, governments of this world are supporting “their friends”. Every government can start a war, but can they ensure peace?

We will continue to encourage the Gazans, informing the world about the current situation in Gaza – http://bit.ly/S8IFSw – , by supporting them to hold up their communication and by protesting online against the Israeli Government.

Leaked document of 35000 Israeli Officials

Sites hacked so far:

http://www.ehackingnews.com/2012/11/...-opisrael.html

At EHN , we have collected list of Israeli websites hacked as part of the operation called "#OpIsrael".
Anonymous break into dirotmodiin.co.il, a site for finding real estate in Israel, and leaked 2000+ username, email address, and plain-text password. As usual, most of the passwords are 123456.
The data has been published in AnonPaste:

List of high profile sites that have either been hacked, ddosed offline, have data leaks, or have been defaced:

Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs ( mashav.mfa.gov.il )

Israel Secret Intelligence Service hacked and data leaked by WikiBoatBrazil :
mossad.gov.il

Confederation of Israeli Associations in Venezuela hacked and database leaked
caiv.org

More lower profile sites in the link.

The banking sites being down are probably the most destructive and affect millions of online Israeli businesses. They attacked some the Israeli portals of news sites like CNN and BBC as well, and search engines like google/bing/msn. Most of the sites aren't still down but even having banking sites down for a few hours probably causes a lot of lost business.

Will Mossad Hunt Down Anonymous?

It takes a brave hacker to declare war on the state of Israel. As Israel’s neighbors can attest, declaring war on the Jewish state doesn’t tend to produce favorable outcomes.

So it was interesting to see the hacker group Anonymous declare “war” on Israel, which probably has as much legal significance as America declaring war on “terror”. Vowing to retaliate against Israeli strikes against Gaza, Anonymous claimed to have attacked hundreds of Israeli government and private Web sites, though Israeli officials say the damage has been minor. They also published names of donors to Israel. Israeli newspapers, busy covering the conflict with Hamas, have barely mentioned the attacks.

The interesting question is how Israel will respond. Jerusalem is unlikely to call in the Shayetet 13 naval commandos to raid hacker hideouts, or disrupt hacker supply lines by sending drones to strike truck convoys carrying Red Bull energy drinks. But the nation that disrupted Iran‘s nuclear program with the Stuxnet virus clearly has some cyberwarfare capabilities of its own, plus a thriving cybersecurity industry. an aggressive national intelligence service in the Mossad, and a general willingness to respond ruthlessly when it feels its national interests are threatened.

Even if Israel does respond, they may find that it’s much easier to hunt Hamas missile launchers than a loosely organized group of hackers. But where the U.S. treats hacking as a law enforcement issue, if Anonymous crosses a red line (there are lots of those in the Middle East), then Israel may treat this as a national security issue. And the rules and the methods of that game are a lot tougher.
