Default Hillary Clinton is very sorry for saying “illegal immigrant”

If you had any doubts about where Hillary Clinton stands on the subjects of border control and the rule of law, wonder no longer.

In a Facebook chat this week, the Democrat frontrunner was taken to task for remarks that she made at an event in New Hampshire this month. Her crime? She used the phrase illegal immigrants, and that’s a big Bozo No-No on the Left.

But as soon as it was pointed out she quickly apologized and assured her base that she would never say such an awful thing again. (Yahoo News)

Hillary Clinton addressed criticism of her use of the phrase “illegal immigrants” in a Facebook chat hosted by the Spanish-language television network Telemundo on Tuesday.

The Democratic presidential frontrunner said it was a “poor choice of words” and vowed not to use the same language in the future…

Clinton agreed to stop saying “illegal immigrants” and pointed to her support for immigration reform.

“Yes, I will. That was a poor choice of words. As I’ve said throughout this campaign, the people at the heart of this issue are children, parents, families, DREAMers.

They have names, and hopes and dreams that deserve to be respected,” Clinton wrote, adding, “I’ve talked about undocumented immigrants hundreds of times and fought for years for comprehensive immigration reform.

And I will continue to do so. We are a country built by immigrants and our diversity makes us stronger as a nation — it’s something to be proud of, celebrate, and defend.”

There you have it. Hillary’s position is crystal clear and you won’t need to pester her on the subject further.

Of course, it doesn’t really matter to her that the term undocumented immigrant is a blatant slap in the face to the countless millions of legal immigrants who came to this country properly and became naturalized.

The fact remains that anyone who is in the country without the proper, legal right to be here is illegal by definition. They are illegal immigrants, not “undocumented” immigrants.

If you go into a bank with a gun and demand all the cash out of the tellers’ drawers you are not making an undocumented withdrawal.

It’s not hard to see where the pressure is coming from when it comes to Hillary’s calculations. Martin O’Malley went after her immediately for using the forbidden language.

And she’s still taking fire from Bernie Sanders (even if he’s effectively out of the running) because he’s bashing border control wherever he goes. (WaPo)

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) said Tuesday that if elected president he would take executive action to allow undocumented immigrants who’ve been in the United States for at least five years to stay in the country without fear of being deported.

The pledge, which Sanders said could allow close to 9 million people to seek “deferred action,” was included in a wide-ranging plan that he said would lead to a “human and secure immigration policy.”

On a related note coming from Hillary Clinton’s Facebook chat, guess who the moderator was? None other than Jose Antonio Vargas, one of the most famous illegal immigrants in the country who is somehow still here and working.

The event was sponsored by Telemundo. Was Vargas being paid for this? Is he ever getting paid by anyone for his many, highly public appearances?

He used to claim that he was living off his own savings but this has been going on for a while now.

It’s still a federal crime to hire an illegal alien, but Vargas is launching a new “Words Matter” campaign to stop people from calling illegal immigrants what they are.

This guy was arrested last year and was supposed to have a follow-up day in court, at which time he should have been deported.

Is that ever going to happen? Or has the government simply given up out of fear and dropped the case entirely?

There’s no reason for illegal aliens to leave the country on their own if the government doesn’t take their crimes seriously.
