If you post on a newspaper site - or indeed any site you should 'Clear recent history' afterwards, I use Firefox. Sites use cookies which can track you. Amazon also use tracking cookies.

Clearing recent history won't do it alone. In Firefox you need to go to tools, options, privacy, remove individual cookies and then delete the objectionable ones. Unless you delete them all, but that's a bit of a pain if you like to stay logged in to some sites. There's a way of stopping the DM (or any site) from planting cookies altogether but my memory is failing me on how to do it.
