7 arrests made in 2 days in effort against Madison shootings
Chief calls for 'homicide prevention' (nigger prevention is homicide prevention Chief)
Published On: May 22 2015 10:25:42 AM CDT

MADISON, Wis. - Madison police said they’ve made seven arrests in the last two days in a crackdown aimed at stemming gun violence.

The effort is in response to reports of shots fired almost daily over the past month, including multiple shots fired during a recent weekend.

Madison Police Chief Mike Koval said in a blog post that numerous law enforcement agencies are involved in the investigation and said the focus is on "homicide prevention."

The chief cited, “one woman nearly shot as she drove her car down a major arterial street of Madison, one woman grazed in a restaurant/bar, one man shot in the arm, and one (of many) close calls involving a child minding her own business sitting in her home.”

“The frequency and scope of these brazen gun violence calls has now intensified to the point where they are taking place in all sectors of the city, and even during broad daylight hours,” he wrote.

Police said they're looking for Nigel T. Goodwan, 21, in connection to a shooting at State Street Brats.

“Individuals we are targeting have been known to us as having outstanding warrants, existing probable cause for independent charges, are known to either threaten or commit violent acts, and are associated with gangs and weapons. Our intelligence comes from many sources including citizen witnesses, informants, forensics, and internal intelligence gathering.”

It seems they are starting to get there. Last night in Milwaukee there were 4 separate shootings in the span of hours all involving "males" in their early 20s with one dead. There was no mention of race so I can't report definitely that it was nigros, but I'm personally 99% sure it was.

I saw a new one around town the other day looking all shifty heading over to the mudshark ghetto near downtown. Whether it was a transient, just got out of the county lock-up, or is now a resident has yet to be determined.

Police: Man arrested near Tenney Park following foot pursuit
Published On: May 27 2015 07:37:03 AM CDT

MADISON, Wis. - A Madison man faces numerous charges following a series of robberies Tuesday night and Wednesday morning around the city.

The incidents started with a robbery at a PDQ on North Stoughton Road just before 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to police.

Police said two other robberies happened at a Hy-Vee on Whitney Way and a Walgreens on the corner of Stoughton and E. Washington about an hour later. Police said in each case, a man entered a store and stole money out of the cash register after it opened. In one of the incidents, a cashier was able to get a vehicle description and a plate number and pass it on to police.

Soon after the incident at Walgreens, Capitol Police spotted a vehicle matching that description headed eastbound on East Washington Avenue. Madison police joined the pursuit and followed the car to Tenney Park.

Police said the man stopped the car and fled on foot, where he was caught by Madison police officers.

Police said David Fuller now faces charges in connection with all three incidents. There were no injuries to anyone in all three incidents, according to police. Police said an undetermined amount of money was stolen from all three stores.

Police: Panhandler asks for $5, grabs wallet, attacks man
Published On: May 27 2015 12:20:18 AM CDT

MADISON, Wis. - A man attempted to steal all of another man's cash after asking the stranger for $5 early Saturday, police said.

Madison police said a Madison man agreed to give a panhandler $5, but when he took out his wallet, the panhandler grabbed all the man's cash.

The man and his wife had just parked their car on the 2400 block of Perry Street at 2:18 a.m. when the panhandler, later identified as Roy A. Mitchell II, 34, approached them, police said.

Mitchell tried to run, but the man caught him. Mitchell then reportedly grabbed a stick and began swinging it, striking the man.

The man's wife called police.

The man was able to wrestle the stick from Mitchell, but Mitchell then wrapped a forearm around the man's neck, nearly causing him to lose consciousness, police said.

Mitchell was charged with battery, impeding breathing by pressure on the throat, theft by pocket picking, resisting or obstructing and a probation hold.

Mitchell is homeless, according to the report. Send his nigger ass to Africa. He can try this shit there.

"Saved by the Bell" actor accused in bar stabbing goes on trial
Diamond accused of stabbing a man during a bar confrontation
Published On: May 27 2015 06:26:17 AM CDT

PORT WASHINGTON, Wis. - The actor who portrayed Screech on the 1990s TV show "Saved by the Bell" is headed to trial in southeastern Wisconsin where he's accused of stabbing a man during a confrontation at a bar.

Dustin Diamond is expected in Ozaukee County Circuit Court Wednesday for the start of his trial on a felony charge of second-degree recklessly endangering safety and two misdemeanors — disorderly conduct and carrying a concealed weapon.

Prosecutors said the 38-year-old Diamond stabbed a man with a pocket knife during an argument at The Grand Avenue Saloon in Port Washington on Christmas Day. Diamond's defense attorney told a judge earlier that of the half-dozen people at the bar who were interviewed by police, no one saw Diamond stab the man, who was not seriously hurt.

Adult suffers non-life-threatening gunshot in leg; no arrests as of Saturday
Published On: May 09 2015 09:39:45 AM CDT

FITCHBURG, Wis. - Fitchburg police are asking for the public's help in identifying a person of interest in a shooting on Leopold Way that left one person with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg and a child injured by glass from a shot-out window.

The Fitchburg Police Department said officers responded to a report of a person shot on the 3300 block of Leopold Way at 3:05 a.m. on May 9.

Two adults and a young child had returned to the parking lot of their Leopold Way address in a vehicle when the driver was approached by a man with a handgun, according to a news release. The man attempted to go through the driver’s pockets and the driver ran off. The armed man stayed behind.

The passenger exited the vehicle and was shot in the leg by the attempted robber, police said. The shooter then drove off. While driving away, the armed man continued to fire his gun at the vehicle. One of the bullets struck the window near where the young child was seated in a car seat. The child suffered cuts to the face and eye area from the shattered glass.

The passenger and child's injuries were non-life-threatening; the two were taken to the hospital for treatment, police said. The assailants left in an older-style black four-door vehicle similar to a Toyota Camry.

Police said one suspect was described as black, 20-23 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds with short dreadlocks. The other suspect was described as black, approximately 6 feet tall with a medium build and wearing a hooded sweatshirt.

Officials ask anyone with information on the man or the car in the surveillance images to call the Fitchburg Police Department at 608-270-4300.

Former coach denies knowing 2nd alleged sexual assault victim
Criminal complaint details alleged assaults
Published On: May 28 2015 10:01:47 AM CDT

MADISON, Wis. - A former coach accused of having a sexual relationship with one of the students he was coaching denied knowing another victim who says she was assaulted when she was a teenager.

West High School girls basketball coach Shelton M. Kingcade, 43, has been suspended since Feb. 25 as the Madison Metropolitan School District investigates the allegations against him, Madison police said. He appeared in court Thursday for an initial appearance.

A previously released document detailed a relationship described by a woman who contacted police in February to report the assaults that she said took place between 1997 and 2001. She said she was repeatedly sexually assaulted by Kingcade while she was a student at Cherokee Middle School. She was 13-17 years old at the time of the alleged assaults, and Kingcade was her basketball coach.

A criminal complaint obtained Thursday describes a report from a second woman who said she was assaulted by Kingcade in December 1991, when she was a 13-year-old student at Jefferson Middle School. She told police that she didn't cooperate with a 1992 investigation of the assault because at the time she was young and flattered by the attention from an older man.

In court Thursday, Kingcade denied that he knew the second woman.

A judge ordered Kindcade's bail continued, and he is ordered not to have any contact with young people.

Default Suspected video game store robber in custody, police say

Suspected video game store robber in custody, police say
Published On: May 29 2015 01:40:02 PM CDT

PORTAGE, Wis. - A man suspected of robbing a Portage video game store was taken into custody less than 20 minutes after the alleged crime, officials said.

The Portage Police Department said officers responded to a report of a robbery at the Game Stop, 2830 New Pinery Road, at 1:45 p.m. Thursday.

An employee told police two men came into the store, and one of the men put the employee in a choke hold. The employee felt something sharp against his neck.

The attacker told the employee to open the cash registers. Once the registers were open, the attacker told the employee to lie down on the floor. The robber took money from both cash registers and fled.

Law Enforcement Officers from the Portage Police Department and Columbia County sheriff’s office arrived and conducted a search of the area. A witness told officers a green GM vehicle with Missouri temporary tags was parked at an apartment complex during the day. The witness said that there were two men matching the robbers' descriptions near the vehicle and the vehicle was now gone.

At 1:56 p.m., a deputy found the vehicle at a gas pump at Kwik-Trip on New Pinery Road, according to the report. Law enforcement personnel convened on the vehicle that had two men and a woman inside. It was also learned that another woman with two children was inside the store who were also occupants of the vehicle.

The two men in the vehicle matched the description of the suspects. Video obtained from GameStop supported that they were the same men who were in the video game store, police said.

Cash believed to be from the GameStop store was allegedly found in the pocket of Courtney Boyds, 26, of Kennett, Missouri.

Police searched the vehicle and a residence and no weapons were found, according to the report.

Investigators said it appeared that Boyds was the only person involved in the reported robbery. Boyds was taken to the Columbia County Jail on a tentative charge of robbery.

Boyds is on parole in Missouri, and the State of Missouri Probation and Parole office has also placed a hold on him.

Default Jury convicts TV actor Diamond of misdemeanors in stabbing

Jury convicts TV actor Diamond of misdemeanors in stabbing

Associated Press

PORT WASHINGTON, Wis. (AP) - TV actor Dustin Diamond was convicted Friday of two misdemeanors stemming from a barroom fight, but a Wisconsin jury cleared the former "Saved by the Bell" actor of the most serious felony charge.

The jury's verdict came just hours after the 38-year-old actor testified that he never intended to stab anyone in the fight last Christmas Day. He had pleaded not guilty to a felony charge of recklessly endangering public safety, plus two misdemeanors - carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct.

The first misdemeanor carries a maximum sentence of nine months in prison, the second a maximum of 90 days in prison.

Diamond didn't display emotion at the jury's decision Friday night. He told reporters he couldn't comment as he left the courtroom after a 13-hour day of testimony and jury deliberations.

Diamond, who played the character Screech on the popular 1990s show, said some people had wanted to shake his hand and pose for photos at the bar, but that others were badgering him and his girlfriend, Amanda Schutz. He said he was trying to scare bar patrons in Port Washington after his girlfriend was punched in the face.

"I felt like we were being set up for antagonistic purposes," he said.

Witnesses testified that Schutz pushed one woman at the bar and grabbed another woman's hand, initiating the incident. Schutz also faces a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge.

Diamond said he tried to help Schutz and took out his pocketknife to deter the group from hurting her more.

The man who was stabbed, 25-year-old Casey Smet, testified Thursday that he didn't know he had been stabbed until he had left the bar and was talking to police.

After maintaining a serious facade during most of the trial, Diamond grinned Friday when a defense attorney asked if he liked being compared to the character Screech. Diamond said he, like his character, enjoyed nerdy things. And Diamond said he liked being identified in public as the goofy television character.

"That means they love you," Diamond said. "That means you're doing your job."

Ozaukee County District Attorney Adam Gerol argued Friday that Diamond lied about what happened and that the actor had scripted his testimony.

Gerol showed body-camera footage of Diamond's testimony to a Port Washington police officer the night of the fight. In the video Diamond first said he might have struck Smet with a pen. In a video of testimony later that night, Diamond said he had a knife at the bar, but hadn't used it to stab anyone.

No apparent "Saved by the Bell" fans sat in the galleries during the three-day trial. But another apparent fan, Diamond's defense attorney Thomas Alberti, wrote "Good Luck to Dustin & Amanda" on his car window Wednesday ahead of the trial. Circuit Court Judge Paul Malloy scolded Alberti and told him to remove it because it was "inappropriate."

The jury also convicted Schutz with disorderly conduct Friday night. Schutz faces a maximum of 90 days in prison.

A sentencing date for Diamond and Schutz has not been announced.

Port Washington is 25 miles north of Milwaukee.

The young men scattered when police were called. Police said the incident is part of an ongoing dispute and that some people involved are affiliated with gangs.

Man pleads guilty to restaurant robberies using pepper-spray
34-year-old says in court he brandished a gun while robbing businesses over nearly 3-week spree
Published On: Jun 04 2015 04:48:07 PM CDT

MADISON, Wis. - A Madison man accused of robbing multiple Madison restaurants in a nearly three-week spree has pleaded guilty this week, officials said.

At a plea hearing Thursday, James Sexton, 34, admitted to robbing five businesses between April 29 and May 15, 2014, according to the Office of U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin's John W. Vaudreuil.

According to a release, Sexton admitted in 2014 he brandished a handgun while robbing the Pizza Extreme on Monroe Street on April 29; Burrito Drive on Brearly Street on May 4; Players Sports Bar and Grill on Winnebago Street on May 7; Toppers Pizza on Mineral Point Road on May 13; and Market Basket on Mifflin Street on May 15.

He also said that during the Burrito Drive and Players Sports Bar robberies, his accomplice sprayed an unknown chemical at the employees and patrons; and that during the Toppers Pizza robbery, the accomplice displayed a canister containing an unknown chemical.

Sexton committed the Market Basket robbery by himself and pleaded guilty to brandishing a firearm during that robbery. An outdoor surveillance video from a neighbor helped law enforcement identify the car used in the robbery, and that led investigators to identify Sexton as the robber, Vaudreuil's office said.

Sexton faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison for each armed robbery -- a total of 100 years, officials said. The charge of brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence carries a mandatory minimum penalty of seven years in federal prison, which would be served consecutively to the sentence imposed for the corresponding robbery.

Judge Barbara Crabb scheduled sentencing for Aug. 20 at 12:30 p.m.

MILWAUKEE - A Milwaukee man who prosecutors say raped his ex-girlfriend's 15-year-old sister before killing her new boyfriend in January has pleaded guilty to reduced charges.

Court records said 19-year-old Markell Greer pleaded guilty Thursday to first-degree reckless homicide, second-degree assault of a child and three counts of false imprisonment. He initially faced other charges, including first-degree intentional homicide.

A criminal complaint said Greer sexually assaulted and confined the girl for more than 12 hours before his 18-year-old ex-girlfriend, 30-year-old Nevelo Smith and another girl returned home. According to the complaint, Greer shot Smith as he fled and held the others at gunpoint before they were able to escape.

WITI-TV reported Greer is scheduled to be sentenced July 15.
