Samuel David Cyprys: Jewish Child Molester

The case of Samuel David Cyprys is one of the worst cases of child molestation that has come out of the ultra-Orthodox jewish community in the last few years. The former Lubavitcher Chabad care worker from Australia plead guilty to child rape and of molesting eight different boys under his care in 2013. (1)

Accounts of his brutality are fairly shocking, but some examples are when he held Yaakov Wolf, son of Rabbi Laibi Wolf, down at knife point while he anally raped him at the Lubavitch Chabad's Yeshiva Centre in Melbourne, Australia. (2)

To quote the Australian Jewish News' interview with another victim of Cyprys' sexual predation:

'The man, who was eight, or nine when the alleged incidents took place, claims he was lured to the college’s shul with the promise of chocolates and raped on the bimah “in front of the sefer torah”. He also claims he was also forced to perform oral sex.' (3)

That is pretty sick, whichever way you want to look at it. Even sicker is his jewish wife, Michelle Coleman, who has now been harassing at least one of her husband's victims online, while claiming her monster of a husband is innocent. (4)

It gets even worse when we discover that Cyprys' activities date all the way back to 1984 (5) and that in all probability the few cases that have reached court are but the tip of the proverbial iceberg. (6)

Combine that with the fact the Yeshiva's leadership knew exactly what Cyprys was doing and actually tried to 'cure' him (obvious unsuccessfully) with some 'faith-based' treatment. Indeed Rabbi Yitzchok Dovid Groner told one victim's mother, on reporting the abuse to him in 1986, that Cyprys couldn't have done it because they had cured him of his 'evil urges'.

The Sydney Morning Herald quotes this as follows:

'"Oh no, I thought we cured him," she said. Rabbi Groner assured her he would "take care of it. It will be fine".' (7)

Well clearly Rabbi Groner didn't 'take care of it': did he?

Rabbi Groner's successor, Rabbi Feldman, was little better and as late as 2011 he was advising fellow rabbis not to go to the police, because it would 'hurt the feelings' of Cyprys and provoke a witch-hunt with 'fake victims' coming forward. (8)

Indeed significant elements of the Melbourne jewish community has also deliberately shunned those who dared tell authorities about the abuse. (9)

Aren't ultra-Orthodox jews such lovely people?
