I'm pretty sure the VMA's are taped, rather than live. I just hate the way they cut out the exact moment that he took the mic from Taylor Swift. Then, you don't get to see her stunned face up close. I think MTV tried to downplay this a bit through editing.

That last note makes me wonder. They do it so often, virtually every other award, that they may as well call it the "Blond Girl Next to Nigger Awards."

Normally I'd ignore this stuff. "Entertainment news" is the hardest to watch. Still, this item showed millions of young white females just how they can expect to be treated.
