Why this year?

I have heard more ass-sucking of the military this Veterans Day than any previous. I wonder why that might be.

Of course, it's blasphemy most heretical to suggest anything less than that these soldier-warriors are selfless heroes, who exist only to sacrifice for the rest of us.

Two facts get lost in the fawning:

1) Every single one of these mercenaries is paid. Not one does what it does for free. EVERY SINGLE ONE DRAWS A PAYCHECK OUT OF YOUR AND MY POCKETS. I resent that. I am poorer because of our military. And it ties into the next point:

2) The military defends our freedom. So says Private Parrot and the 1,001 Israel-firster punks on tv. Permit me to doubt.

First of all, no one who signs up for a dictatorial hierarchy like the miliary has the slighest, I mean pig-level understanding, of freedom, much less any love of it or desire to protect it. No one who loved freedom could stand to be in the military for a second. The military is the least free institution on earth, the vast majority of its members hasn't the slightest idea of the contents of the constitution. The military is morons performing a menial service for the criminal racketeers and jews who run our empire.

Freedom has nothing to do with anything our military does.

When I see these disgusting jew vermin on tv pretending to admire the military, it makes me want to puke. I doubt more than 10% of the goy public can tell when smoke's blown up its ass. The jews think we're idiots, and the evidence confirms they're correct.

I watched the local news for a weather report and caught the fawning. They picked an older vet out that demanded to know "When are we going to quit pussy footing around and win this war?" Maybe they help sow the seed in the public's mind to put the war into higher gear.

The vast majority of those military "armies-of-one" don't have the slightest idea of the contents of the document they signed to get into the military in the first place. The lowest minion in Hezbollah or Hamas knows more about freedom than anyone in the US Army.

Yes, but this is true every year. Is it me, or are they really pushing it much harder this year than in other years. The last few days have seen more military promotion than is normally seen outside of some 'greatest' generation garbage anniversary. I don't recall any other Veterans Day that has been subject to such extensive fawning over greentools.

Since yesterday was Veteran's Day, I got to thinking about this date a bit too.

OK, we're all told that the US won WWI and WWII. So, what did the US get out of these colossal victories? Did the US expand its territory? Not a bit. Same old land-mass as always. What did the GI's get? Those that didn't get mangled and maimed got the GI Bill. OK, they went to college, like millions of people that didn't go to war also did. The rest became maggot meat.

Essentially, GI's that fought WWII got the right to have a nigger working next to them in the factory, that's about it. It's really something to think about... all the carping about "freedom" and "the greatest generation" yet, what was really gained? Did the average American benefit in any way? I'd really love to hear someone explain this to me. The biggest war in the history of mankind, and yet the victors got nothing, even worse, Britain lost all its overseas territories afterward.

About the army, really, it's like cops with bigger infrastructure and bigger weaponry. Most of them are recruited in economically hopeless areas where the only way to get out of your hole is to become cannon fodder for the state. Needless to say the VAST MAJORITY of them are under-educated or borderline mentally unstable.

As for all the recent hype, I think it's because they want the military to feel appreciated, and raise the level of moral in preparation for another major war.

Now that military service is the only job option for a lot of young guys, they'll have the personnel, and now they're glorifying the military to make it seem even more appealing.

Diebold; and Scott Moran, director of the psychiatric residency program at Walter Reed, according to colleagues and other sources who monitor the meetings.

One official involved in the conversations had reportedly told colleagues that he worried that if Hasan deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan, he might leak secret military information to Islamic extremists. Another official reportedly wondered aloud to colleagues whether Hasan might be capable of committing fratricide, like the Muslim U.S. Army sergeant who, in 2003, killed two fellow soldiers and injured 14 others by setting off grenades at a base in Kuwait.

Bureaucratic And Other Obstacles

So why didn't officials act on their concerns and seek to remove Hasan from his duties, or at least order him to receive a mental health evaluation? Interviews with these officials suggest that a chain of unrelated events and factors deterred them.

For one thing, Walter Reed and most medical institutions have a cumbersome and lengthy process for expelling doctors, involving hearings and potential legal battles. As a result, sources say, key decision-makers decided it would be too difficult, if not unfeasible, to put Hasan on probation and possibly expel him from the program.

Second, some of Hasan's supervisors and instructors had told colleagues that they repeatedly bent over backward to support and encourage him, because they didn't have clear evidence that he was unstable, and they worried they might be "discriminating" against Hasan because of his seemingly extremist Islamic beliefs.

Third, the officials involved in deliberations this year reportedly were not aware, as some top Walter Reed officials were, that intelligence analysts had been tracking Hasan's e-mails with at least one suspected Islamic extremist since December 2008.

And finally, Hasan was about to leave Walter Reed and USUHS for good and transfer to Fort Hood, in Texas. Fort Hood has more psychiatrists and other mental specialists than some other Army bases, so officials figured there would be plenty of co-workers who would support Hasan — and monitor him.

So they knew he was not a competent psychiatrist, but they couldn't fire him. I heard this radio show and the thing the transcript leaves out, is that the Walter Reed doctors hoped that Hasan would "disappear" at Fort Hood.

Well, it looks like he magickally re-appeared! Imagine that!

Ever heard the American term, "Well, you get an A for effort." The idea that you get credit for effort and not results is what destroyed American educational standards, and did a horrible disservice to generations of American children.

The crazy thing is, the highest levels of the US government are full of "get an a for effort" people! Majors in the Army no less!

No, I noticed it last night. I walked to a sports bar about a mile from my house for a few beers and pizza. I couldn't believe it. In the 37 years since I got out of the military, I've never seen anything like it. Most years, Veterans Day goes by without much notice. At most, I might bump into some old fart and do a shot, but that's about it.

Last night was nuts.

Oh! And in my defense, I was drafted in 1968. I don't give a fuck how bleak the economy is, anyone who would enter the service without the pressure of a draft, is a complete loser.

You're right, the same is happening in the UK. More media coverage and reverence this year compared to previous years. I noticed it but neglected to follow up with a 'why?'.
