It was a little disappointing to hear him praise the Tuskegee Airmen of all things.

I heard just the opposite . German pilot saying the 'redtails' always ran , as soon as they spotted a German fighter . That would account for the heavy bomber losses of the tuskegee airmen , 25 in 5 days !
