Unconfirmed report - 17 US soldiers captured by Mahdi Army in Basra

Just reported from Alwasatonline reporter in Basra, Mahdi Army managed to arrest 17 American soldiers, and seizes 7 hummer military vehicles, because of these developments the Iraqi government offered to negotiates with MA but Muqtada Al-Sadr refused any negotiations, also 250 Iraqi soldiers gave themselves up to Mahdi Army.

Key bridge, connecting Basra city to Al-Kurnah is destroyed by Mahdi Army.

Sotaliraq reported that Maliki refused to meet Basra’s mayor “Mohammad Al-Walili (from Al-Fadhilah Party), the mayor threaten if he removed from his position as mayor he will burn all the oil wells around Basra.

There is also reports about American warplanes involvement in the fights, and the Green Zone was bombed again at 8 O’clock p.

There are fighting in Al-Shurta neighborhood in Baghdad in the Karkh part (East, across the river)

Thanks for posting this story - if its true, I cannot figure out how any single Kwap soldat, let alone 17 would surrender to an uncompromising adversary - these Kwaps are as good as fucking dead if they were captured by true Mahdi soldiers. I'd rather die in battle any day rather than be the star of a homemade video dying in some uncivilized manner. That's the fucking truth, death isn't nearly as frightening as dying a coward or bleeding out after having ones carotids severed.

Marine sniper teams are being landed in the Basra area (within the last 24 hours). There will be some serious fighting.

Also the Mahdi army has declared a curfew in Baghdad. Violators have been shot and the Green Zone is under considerable attack.

Well I think the ZOGmedia wanted the U.S. out of Somalia (to help facilitate higher refugee numbers or just because it wasn't useful to them), so that's why they showed the US soldiers being mutilated.

BAGHDAD — Shiite militants are hammering the U.S.-protected Green Zone today with rockets and mortars for the fourth day this week.

Thick, black smoke is billowing from inside the heavily fortified home to the U.S. Embassy and Iraqi government.
