I did read Strom's explanation as to how he was allegedly framed by his wife (now ex) Elisha, who admittedly herself was not liked by many. Did she frame him? Did the FBI? Some believe she/they did; others (like myself) do not. For one thing, Strom, although well-known in the WN movement, was not in the same league as a David Duke or a Jared Taylor. So although possible, it seems unlikely he would've been the target of such a complex operation, when even Dr. William Pierce never was - and was (when alive) ten times more well-known and important. So it may be a mystery that is never resolved to the satisfaction of all. That said, the clencher for many was Strom knuckling under and pleading guilty. I understand Strom's reasoning (if he WAS innocent) but even so pleading guilty to such a reprehensible crime as child porn went beyond the pale for many. His reasoning, as I understand it was this:
  • 1 - I was framed.
  • 2 - I'm facing multiple charges which, if found guilty, will send me to prison for many years.
  • 3 - Although I can beat at least one of the charges against me, I'm concerned I can beat ALL of them.
  • 4 - Therefore, to avoid a long prison term, I must therefore cop a plea to one of the charges so as to have the others dismissed.
  • 5 - That way, I'll be out of slam in a couple of years.

That's the bargain with the devil that Strom made. Was it worth it? Again, some would say yes. But here's what he gambled:
  • 1 - Fight ALL the charges because I'm innocent - and step free a brave and heroic man.
  • 2 - Cop a plea to a reprehensible crime and be forever labeled a sex offender.

Strom chose Door #2 and that's where things stand today, years later. But innocent or not, with that label glued to his forehead, he should've faded into the background. The WN movement cannot afford to have a spokesman who is a convicted sex offender. Since Strom refuses to do that, he is fair game for criticism and ridicule.

No, it's not proof - anymore than Strom's "assertion" that he was innocent of criminal charges. But keep in mind there were many - a great many - white nationalists who saw Strom as guilty and depraved. So Strom's claim that he was actually "innocent" after pleading guilty and serving two years behind bars seemed disingenuous to a lot of white nationalists - not to mention the public at large. Or, at best, "cowardly", since he didn't face the charges head-on, come what may.

So in the end we all believe what we want.

Not surprised at all.

That's true. On the other hand, ask yourself how Strom came to be "seen" as possibly gay in the first place? Could photos like these have fueled the suspicion, perhaps? (not to mention he used to post photos online of himself posing in his briefs)

At the very least, these photos are bad optics for someone representing our serious goals. Alone, they might be overlooked. But, added to the fact that this individual is a convicted sex offender, it would be best for our long-term objectives if he simply vanished forever from the radar screen of white nationalism.
