Army may adopt retro-Worst Generation uniform

The WW2 'Pinks and Greens' are admittedly better looking than the current blue Army Service Uniform, or the "Ulysses S. Grant Look" as I call it, which was previously the dress uniform. So why didn't the army just keep the green Class A uniform they only retired a couple of years ago? Typical government wastefulness--the taxpayers are footing the bill, so who cares? I'm not a big fan of the marines either, but at least they've pretty much kept the same uniform since WW2.
