Didn't Shildkraut play Herod in Cleopatra? I just saw the flick just last night on TCM and thought what a remarkably jewy performance it was: the epitome of shifty-eyed kike treachery.
As for Edward G. Robinson, I've gotta hand it to the ugly little bastard: he had tons of presence. Always entertaining, even when starring in tikkun hose-jobs like Confessions of a Nazi Spy & The Stranger.
