2) Which empire or country or duchy benefited most from the signing of the Peace of Westphalia? Explain your answer.

(By the Peace of Westphalia, I mean two Münster treaties and one Osnabrück treaty).
Of course I know what you mean by Peace Of Westphalia . . .

The Thirty Years' War mainly took place in my country ( Germany ) . . .

Hmmmm . . .
. . .

Ding ! !

I think it's Prussia . . .

I always thought that without the Thirty Years' War maybe Prussia would never have existed . . .

Why?

After the Thirty Years' War all of Germany lay in ruins . . .

And , inside Germany , especially the Mark Of Brandenburg . .

It was the area with the most devestation.

So no wonder one day the sovereigns of Brandenburg started to 'look outside' ( i. e. trying to make up for their loss of population etc . .) . .

So , Brandenburg-Prussia became a new super-state . . .

Quite an irony that one of the biggest disasters in German history ( the Thirty Years' War ) lead to the founding of a German state ( Prussia ) which should play an important role in history . . . .
