According to Colerain Township Police, 18 year-old Daniel Watkins turned himself in at the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office on Hamilton Avenue around 1 a.m.
The case dates back to late March of this year. Watkins denied touching the girl, but willingly submitted his DNA for testing. His DNA reportedly matched DNA found on the victim's body.
Watkins celebrates his birthday in February, meaning he was an adult at the time of the alleged crime.
A judge set Watkins' bond at $100,000 Wednesday morning.
