And the Swiss said YES! But, by a really small margin: 50,34%. All French speaking states refused it, whereas only the German speaking states of Basel-Stadt, Zurich and Zoug refused it. The state with the most YES is Ticino.

A small town in the state of St. Gall banned the muslim veils in schools (the votes comes after two Somali girls wearing it).

However, the Swiss massively refused to exclude abortion costs from the mandatory health insurance (70% NO).

Also, the Basel-Stadt state accepted a law which was put to referundum that says at least 30% of the administration employees must be women.
