But I know that the German language is held high in countries like the USA ( hey , a lot of Americans have German ancestry ) and also a subject in school . . .

I know , if German wasn't my native tongue , I wouldn't want to be in the position to have to learn it . . .

I can say that I learned English pretty much by myself . .

I'm not from an academic family background but , over the course of time , learned some things in an autodidactic way . .Including English . .

Apart from that I had a friend living abroad (England) whom I visited there very often . . . R. I. P.
