BURGAW, NC (WECT) - The Pender County Sheriff's Office is looking for a 20-year-old wanted for statutory rape.
Jamel Trevon Jones, formerly of Currie in the southwestern part of Pender County is believed to currently be living in the Wallace area of Duplin County. As of yet detectives have been unsuccessful in locating him.
Jones is described as a medium build black male who is, approximately, 5'7" and weighs, approximately, 175 pounds.
The outstanding warrant charges Jones with one count each of Statutory Rape and Indecent Liberties with a Child. Authorities advise that the warrant is the culmination of an investigation which began in mid 2009 involving a child unrelated to Jones.
