It pains me to rise in support of Judge Winmill here. The Defense is whining about his unfair treatment of their audio expert. The scum sucking defense lawyers have known for weeks of the on again/off again admissibility of Papcun's testimony. He never has claimed that the recordings are faked. The fool goes off to a vacation to Bora Bora halfway around the world in the middle of the trial. That mere fact looks elitist to working people on the jury. Then Cyndi whines that it will cost $120,000 to fly him back with a chartered jet in time to testify.

The prosecution has every right to cross examine the supposed expert. To paraphrase the judge, "Procrastination on the part of the defense does not constitute an emergency on my part." This makes the defense a laughing stock in front of the jury. This is the worst incompetence displayed by Steele's lawyers so far. They have a rough enough job if they were competent.
