The worst thing? I think that would be that in the afflicted, human beings allow their consciences to be overridden by the religion's organizers (government/banksters) so that they will do things they feel to be wrong to other human beings.
I suppose this means I think the worst thing is that people who fall for religions abdicate being responsible for their conduct.
* I mean 'organized religions.' One can be religious and live a religious life and communicate with God, who can be found only through within.
