Army aviation pilots of the Western Military District conducted training flights in conditions of limited visibility. The flights took place in the Pskov region under conditions of strong crosswind and low cloud cover. Piloting in adverse weather conditions was performed by the crews of the Mi-8 multi-purpose helicopters and Mi-26 transport helicopters. Exactly 317 years ago, on May 18, 1703, Russian sailors under the command of Peter I won the first victory in a naval battle, attacking and capturing two Swedish sailing ships. The historical significance of this victory for Russia was emphasized by the awarding of all participants in the battle with specially made medals with the inscription: "Unprecedented happens." The Baltic Fleet adequately meets the next anniversary of its founding. This is eloquently evidenced by the results of the combat training of the associations, units and ships of the Baltic Fleet for the period since December 2019.
