I don't think this is serious. I followed the links and the website makes clear that it covers everything from actual homosexual plotlines to things vaguely implied, or things that would only raise the eyebrows of a homosexual viewer. It's meant for a chuckle. Take this description of the bizarre children's TV show H.R. Pufenstuf:

Shy, sensitive (i.e., gay) Jimmy (Jack Wild) was trapped on Fire Island. . .um, I mean Living Island. . .with ten male animatronic beings and Judy Garland (aka Judy the Frog). It would have been a homoerotic paradise except for the cranky witch Witchiepoo, who lusted after Jimmy's magic flute. Symbolic of whatever you like.

Which may or may not be funny, but the point is that they are not saying that the character or the show were actually "gay." Just that it could easily be read that way.
