Tens of millions of sharks are killed every year, with at least 8,000 tonnes of sharkfins shipped to restaurants around the world, WildAid said...

was looking at msn's cute animal gallery, and noticed the discrepency that most of the extremely healthy looking, well looked after animals came from German zoos.

Whereas the photos from asia were more along the lines of...

Jurong frog farm in singapore.
The only frog breeder in the city-state breeds bullfrogs for human consumption.

And that makes them a dangerous neighbor, especially for Russia.
That extra ten million is young, aggressive, horny, and they're going to fuck something.
For China's huge standing army the question is, why go south to screw female slopeheads when they can go north and take White women!

Russia's greatest danger is the present regime which allows the Zipperheads to casually deforest Siberia and plunder Siberian wildlife

Does wild boar taste similar to domesticated pork?

If anyone has any experience hunting wild boar what is the customary rifle cartridge for such an animal? .223 maybe? I've caught the hunting bug due in part to the General's showing me the ropes and would like to venture out into new territory.

The one in the picture Alex posted is a Javelino or peckary, I have seen full sized 300-400 lb wild boar been taken down with .22 long rifle, .44 mag, and .30 06. I would stick with a 30 cal of some sort though. A 30-30 is a good choice for an animal that is found in brush and not very often in the open. The 30-30 is a bushwhacker of a round.

Then my .308 will suffice. Just didn't want to blow it apart and waste the meat.

How does the meat compare to a domesticated pig if you know? (Edit: I'll take a stab and state that it's essentially pork with a gamey characteristic. I'll find out in due time.)

A .308 is a fine weapon for hunting boar. The meat is very similar to domesticated pork, leaner as most wild game is and rather delicious. Keep in mind to NOT hunt boar during their mating season as the males emit a horrible stench that makes dealing with their carcasses almost unbearable right after bagging them. Its been many years since eating wild pig, I remember it being some of the best meat I have ever had......Most def not kosher as well..

Thanks Mark. There must be a field manual for hunting like there is for flowers, insects, rocks, etc. I'll get the basics on the hunted as I find the land to hunt.

For the collection I submit the noble tapir.

That would have been funny, if you had advised him to confront a tusky boar with the squirrel gun, rather than send him to the front with the sensible armament mentioned in the same sentence. The unbearability of his O'Bama avatar is reason enough to justify the aforementioned sensible advice ommission

Horrible to men. But, who knows? Perhaps, attending bar, immediately afterwards, might draw more female admiration after the hunt than not

You realize that's artwork for products I and another poster sell on another website right? It's not like I'm a fan of the Chimp in Chief elect.
