Household superglue was originally invented as a surgical adhesive, and it isn't toxic.

I have some of that "liquid band-aid" stuff.
It has a little brush in the bottle where you can paint it on to your cut and it hardens up stiffer than a possums peter.
It says it "breaths", but I'm not so sure about that.

But anyway, it's always worked pretty good for me.

Some upscale midwestern retail chain I've never heard of: Von Maur. Possible the owners aren't even jews, but are real Austrian immigrants to America, long ago.

Wood bees can sting you.

These are the creatures I have somewhat incorrectly called wood borers, which is actually the name of a beetle. I say somewhat because anything that bores wood, as wood bees do, can be called a wood borer. One floated in my door, even knowing how much I hate these. But I trapped it and killed it. I damn near picked it up...then I thought...what's your upside here, buddy? You don't get stung? That doesn't sound like a big win. So I scooped it out and killed it. Then I looked it up. Sure enough, I was wrong. They can sting. They're not overly aggressive, but they can and do sting sometimes. For some reason I had incorrectly thought these bumblebee-lookalikes could not sting.

Eye-care physician William Horatio Bates, M.D., (1860–1931) attributed nearly all sight problems to habitual strain of the eyes, and felt that glasses were harmful and never necessary.

You haven't been receiving the correct answers to your post.

The Soviet Union had a population of roughly 300,000,000 until its collapse in 1991. And since most westerners commonly associated Russia -- just one among multiple states that made up that mess -- with the USSR itself, it's an easy assumption to make.

Anybody go look at that? I don't think the guy was a total quack, I think they still use some of his techniques. In fact they had my sister doing similar exercises when she was little, to strengthen one "lazy" eye, and it worked for her.

Still, this cracked me up:

I think I'll opt for the precision of those newfangled laser thingies.
