The emergency broadcast tests
It seems to me. back in the mid 1960s, at a time were were facing a real threat of ww 3 from the soviets, that these noisy irksome tests on the tube, were conducted only once a month.Doesn't it seem that now a days, one can't sit down without hearing that bothersome loud test noise, on absolutly EVERY single channel over a ten minite period? It seems that they now test, every other day.Lets face it, if the missles were headed at us, would they use this system to let us know we got at best, a half hour to kiss our ass good bye?The same also applies to listioning to the radio. It's used almost every night on radio as well. Are they just out to scare the hell out of us? If anything, it's much worse today, then when we faced a real threat of being nucked by Russia. You know they got something big cooking to announce one day as their big emergency.
