Al-Muhajiroun network linked to half of UK's terror plots
Group linked to more than 20 plots or attacks carried out since 1997
Government has banned them but they morphed into other organisations
Expert says group were not taken seriously enough for too long
He says the radical Islam they preach inspires terrorists to violence

Half of the terror attacks carried out or plotted in Britain involve members of just one extremist network, a new report reveals.
Al-Muhajiroun, a banned organisation once fronted by hate preacher Anjem Choudary, has been linked to a series of atrocities and plots dating back to 1997.
A new book by terrorism expert Raffaello Pantucci has now found that since its formation in the 1980s, the group has been central to Islamic extremism in the UK.
It is thought the first known violence directly linked to the group took place in 1997, when a member of the organisation attacked a police officer.
At least one of the bombers who carried out London's 7/7 bombings had met a key supporter of al-Muhajiroun, Omar Khyam, before the attacks which killed 52 people on underground trains and a bus in 2005.
Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale, who murdered Fusilier Lee Rigby in a street in Woolwich, south-east London in 2013, had both attended events organised by the group.
Despite having been banned in 2005, the group has morphed to take on a series of other names, and its influence continues to be felt, with Brustholm Ziamani, who was sentenced last week for plotting an attack inspired by that on Lee Rigby, also having been inspired by al-Muhajiroun.
Research shows that out of 51 attacks and plots carried out or foiled in Britain, al-Muhajiroun had influence in at least 23.
Mr Pantucci, who studies extremism for defence forum The Royal United Services Institute, said the group sold its followers a radical interpretation of Islam which often inspired them to commit violence.
He told MailOnline: 'It is an oversimplification just to write them off as outcasts or losers, some of them have been involved in quite serious gang activity or crime in the past and end up finding this as a kind of redemption for their activity.
'You also have to remember that some of the top figures are quite charismatic people who are good at drawing people in and given them these very aggressive ideas.'
Mr Pantucci said that the group's influence had been underestimated in the past and hoped his book - whose title We Love Death As You Love Life is taken from quotation by one of the 7/7 bombers - would encourage politicians to crack down on the organisation and its spin-offs.
He added: 'These people are very good at being in the periphery and the background without ever having their hands on the device or being directly implicated in plots, which would see them given heavier sentences.
'I think constant disruption of the group is not a bad thing. By proscribing these groups you force them to change their name, their website, which inhibits them, also by arresting them on more minor charges you take them off the streets for a time.'
Al-Muhajiroun was set up by Omar Bakri Mohammed, a Syria-born Islamic extremist who lived in Britain from 1986 until he was banned from returning in 2005 after going to Lebanon.
Anjem Choudary, who remains in Britain, later became the public face of the organisation, which re-emerged as groups called Islam4UK and Need4Khalafah after it was banned.

Let me say that from talking to Sunni Muslims in Bradford, Anjem Choudary is not a popular figure! One Muslim told me if he saw that bastard, he would lamp him because he defames Islam!
I'm 100% certain Anjem Choudary is working for MI5. Notice how many of these retarded Wahhabi extremists that get caught planning an atrocity, had previous connections to Anjem Choudary's network? It's obvious his organisation is a state honey trap, as well as a neocon created 'Punch and Judy' show along with the other neocon/Zionist honey trap, the EDL.

Vice UK on What Life will be Like Under an Islamic Caliphate
April 1, 2015
Here Vice takes a ride with Anjem Choudary, and we hear about what life will be like when the Moslems complete their takeover of Britain.
Coudary rides around with Vice and explains what he is going to change, all over the city. Funnily enough, they run into Boris Johnson on his bike. Anjem Doesn’t like Boris.
Interestingly, most of what he is talking about doesn’t sound that bad. He wants to clean up the streets, get rid of the faggots, put the women back in their place, tear down that sickening “London Eye(sore).”
The fact that I like much of what this guy wants to do does not mean that Islam would be good for England, it simply shows how much worse than Islam the current modern system is.
In some ways, it feels like we have set ourselves up to be taken over by Islam. When you remove every basic aspect of the natural order, all at once – destroy family values, destroy religion, destroy the diet, destroy national identity, allow millions of foreigners inside your country – for no clear logical reason, you cannot possibly expect that a stronger system will not come and replace your system (or rather, lack of any system).
The bottom line here is that nature is trying to repair itself, and it will repair itself with or without the White race. Moslems might be animals, but they are natural creatures, who possess a system derived from nature, while the White race, having obeyed the requests of the Jew, is engaged in open warfare with the natural order.
I truly believe that the universe is on the side of those of us who are fighting the good fight, attempting to bring European civilization back into line with the order of nature. At the same time, it is quite clear that nature has a back-up plan if we fail, and that is the complete destruction of our civilization by these brown hordes.
Like the City of Sodom, if we reach the point where not a single just man can be found among us, there is a cleansing fire which lays in waiting, prepared to rain down upon the mess that we have wrought.
Here is another video of Vice visiting Anjem.

Far right protesters stage demonstration outside London mosque

Far-right protesters today staged a demonstration outside a London mosque as worshippers attended Friday prayers.
Around 100 members of Britain First and the English Defence League held a demonstration outside the London Central Mosque and Islamic Cultural Centre near Regent's Park.
EDL members were heard chanting - to the tune of the Beach Boys' Sloop John B - "it's our country, we're taking it back" as prayers were held.
Radical cleric Anjem Choudary was among those worshipping at the mosque as protesters chanted anti-Islamic messages and wielded banners and placards outside.
Around 100 police kept them away from the front of the mosque, although trouble threatened to escalate when a handful of far-right demonstrators surged down the pavement towards a group of Muslims.
The protesters, who said they were antagonised by some of the worshippers, had to be restrained by officers.
Scotland Yard said there were no arrests during the protest.
Speaking outside after prayers, Mr Choudary told Muslims not to vote at the forthcoming election.
He also handed out leaflets entitled "why it is strictly forbidden to vote in Islam".
One passage read: "Only God can make things lawful and unlawful. If a human being does this ... this is considered the most heinous crime."
However, he was accused by some worshippers of encouraging anti-Islamic protests

Watch UK Police Officer Get Cucked By Radical Muslim ISIS Supporter
A London police officer appeared to remove his ‘Help for Heroes’ wristband after being criticised by Islamist hate preacher Anjem Choudary.
A video uploaded to Youtube shows Choudary walking up to the officer and asking him whether he is a member of the far-right BNP or EDL for wearing the military charity band.
The video then shows him standing on the same street later on, but without the band.
The Metropolitan Police issued a statement supporting the officer’s right to wear the wristband:
“Our policy gives staff the choice wear pin badges and wristbands – one of those being the Help for Heroes badge or wristband.
“Wearing the wristband is a personal choice of the individual and its their choice when they want to wear or remove it.”

?There is a real thirst for revenge? ? Muslim cleric on Tunisia terrorist attack. Muslim activist Anjem Choudary has said that the presence of Western civilians in Muslim countries
A MUSLIM SOCIAL activist and cleric has said that the terrorist attacks that occurred last Friday in Tunisia, France, and Kuwait are a product of Western people encroaching on the Muslim world.
Anjem Choudary, a high-profile British cleric and former chairman of the Society of Muslim Lawyers, said that: “being naked on a beach, alcohol, drugs, these are things that are rejected by all Muslims” in relation to the attack in Tunisia that left 38 people dead, including three Irish citizens.
Choudary was speaking to Adrian Kennedy on 98FM’s Dublin Talks radio show earlier today.
“The real question to ask is why is there such instability in North Africa. It is not so much a question of blame. We need to look more deeply into this,” Choudary said.
The presence of regimes in these countries, the bombing and drone attacks of the British and Americans in places like Syria and Iraq – there are innocent people being killed in these areas and there is I think a real thirst for revenge.
These people are not drawing distinction between innocents and others – it is a very volatile situation.
When asked if he thought Western tourists should forego the likes of Tunisia and leave such countries to their own devices Choudary replied “at the moment I would say that is absolutely the case, yes”.
ISIS are not happy with these tourist resorts being westernised. It has definitely been a factor before with the likes of the Bali bombings, although not every Muslim will attack people.
Being naked on a beach, drinking alcohol, drugs – these things are all rejected by all Muslims.
Choudary would not specifically condemn last Friday’s attacks, nor say that he condoned them.
What is taking place in these countries, the Western influence, is anathema to what Islam stands for. Until that’s dealt with nothing will change.
These things happen in war. I cannot simply pat you on the back and say off you go to Tunisia. It is not a safe place to go.
When questioned on the reliance of Tunisia and other countries on Western tourism to survive Choudary replied that the only reason such countries rely on such tourism is “they cannot stand on their feet due to Western interests”.
Let me ask you – if drones were constantly bombing Dublin, do you think the Irish would carry on as if nothing were different?
English-born Choudary (47) has been outspoken on Western relations with Muslim countries for many years, although his support from within the mainstream Muslim community has tended to be quite limited.
He has previously stated that his loyalty is to Islam first before any specific country, and is an advocate of Sharia law being introduced to the UK in its entirety.

Anjem Choudary faces UK terrorism charges over Islamic State
Radical UK preacher Anjem Choudary is one of two men who has been charged with inviting support for Islamic State militants, Scotland Yard says.
He is accused of "inviting support" for so-called Islamic State (IS) between 29 June 2014 and 6 March this year.
He and another man, Mohammed Mizanur Rahman, have each been charged with one offence under section 12 of the Terrorism Act 2000.
They are due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court at 14:00 BST.
Mr Choudary, 48, of Ilford in east London, and Mohammed Rahman, 32, of Whitechapel in east London, were arrested on 25 September last year on suspicion of being members of IS, which is a proscribed organisation.
Proscription means membership of the militant group is a criminal offence, and that the organisation cannot lawfully operate in the UK.
Sue Hemming, of the Crown Prosecution Service, said: "It is alleged that Anjem Choudary and Mohammed Rahman invited support for Isis [also known as IS] in individual lectures which were subsequently published online."

Maajid Nawaz: As a former extremist who knew Anjem Choudary, I fear for the mentality of British Muslims
Anjem Choudary, Britain’s loudest Islamist extremist, has finally been remanded in custody, charged under section 12 of the Terrorism Act 2000. The charge is related to him sending messages to his 32,000 followers on Facebook, allegedly encouraging people to join Isis. His guilt or innocence is a matter for the courts. What concerns me here is his trajectory.
I first met Anjem in 1994, when I was 17 years old. We were both students of the Islamist group Hizb ut-Tahrir (HT), which was led in the UK back then by the Syrian firebrand cleric Omar Bakri Muhammad. HT is responsible for first popularising the notion of resurrecting a theocratic caliphate in Muslim-majority countries. At the time, I had been studying at Newham College and was eventually expelled due to my Islamist belligerence. Anjem volunteered as my lawyer, furnishing me with advice on my expulsion.
Later that year, HT organised an international caliphate conference at London’s Wembley Arena, the first and largest of its kind globally. As our fellow HT activists went up and down the country plastering eye-catching bright orange stickers pronouncing The Caliphate - Coming Soon to a Country Near You, Muslims were arriving from all over the world to behold Wembley stadium, packed with 10,000 people cheering in unison for the return of the Caliphate. Those were the days before Isis, even before al-Qaeda, when HT was the most extreme manifestation of this pernicious Islamist ideology in Britain. The British-Muslim scene would never be the same again.
I next met Anjem roughly 15 years later on the BBC Newsnight set with Paxman. By now, I had abandoned my former extremist dogma, and through my organisation Quilliam had set about challenging Islamism as an affront to the civil liberties of the very Muslims it claims to serve. Our BBC debate is most memorable for Anjem’s complicit acceptance that – were a caliphate to be established – I would be executed for being deemed an ‘apostate’. Since this debate, ISIS has indeed declared a caliphate and has left us in no doubt how it would treat dissenters like me.
Despite the fact that up to 1000 British citizens have travelled to join Isis’ medieval theocratic nightmare, and in some cases entire families have up and left, it is true that only a tiny minority of Muslims worldwide support ISIS. But I fear that too many Muslims disagree with Isis’ caliphate, not because it is a caliphate, but because it is not their caliphate. The very idea of resurrecting a theocracy in this day and age has worrying levels of support. According to one survey, 33% of British Muslims supported the notion of creating a worldwide caliphate based on a version of sharia, as law. And if our only criticism of Isis is that its theocracy is not utopian enough, this doesn’t bode well. The cumulative effect of our Islamist preaching in the UK since the early 90s has resulted in polarised communities and unhealthy theocratic aspirations forming a normalised part of life among to

Anjem Choudary could face 10 years' jail over his 'ISIS support' posts
THIRTY CHILDREN RISK BEING TAKEN TO SYRIA
More than 30 children at risk of being taken to the Syrian war zone by their parents have been made the subject of High Court orders to protect them.
Those made wards of court range in age from two to 17. In some cases, children have been taken into foster care because of fears of the impact of fanatical Islamist ideology in their homes.
Judges had considered cases involving 12 families after being alerted by counter-terrorist officers, police revealed yesterday.
Assistant Commissioner Mark Rowley, of the Metropolitan Police, said officers were using every option available to protect the young and vulnerable.
He said: ‘It could be about concerns that one of the older children is showing signs of radicalisation or it could be because of parents planning to relocate the family to Raqqa (the Islamic State stronghold in Syria).
‘The last thing we want is children going to a war zone with a terrorist ideology around them.’ In a recent high-profile case, a family of 12 from Luton, including a one-year-old and two grandparents, left for Syria and urged other Muslims to join them.
And this week several members of two families were ordered to wear electronic tags over fears they might flee the country.
Police suspect the same Islamist terror cell was behind the Tunisian beach massacre and a similar attack at a museum.
Officers investigating the deaths of 38 people, including 30 Britons, in Sousse at the hands of gunman Seifeddine Rezgui in June have discovered ‘strong evidence’ linking the attack with the murder of 22 people at the Bardo National Museum in March.
Police killed two of the three gunmen who opened fire at tourists at the museum in the capital Tunis, but the third escaped. There has been speculation he may have been Rezgui, 23.

State finally reins in its pet mouthpiece Anjem Choudary
One of the UK's most notorious radical clerics has been convicted of inviting others to support the so-called Islamic State, it can now be reported.
Police said Anjem Choudary, 49, had stayed "just within the law" for years, but was arrested in 2014 after pledging allegiance to the militant group.
Many people tried for serious terror offences were influenced by his lectures and speeches, police said.
Choudary was convicted alongside confidant Mohammed Mizanur Rahman.
Counter-terrorism chiefs have spent almost 20 years trying to bring Choudary, a father of five, to trial, blaming him, and the proscribed organisations which he helped to run, for radicalising young men and women.
Both men were charged with one offence of inviting support for IS - which is contrary to section 12 of the Terrorism Act 2000 - between 29 June 2014 and 6 March 2015.
The verdict on the two defendants was delivered on 28 July, but can only be reported now following the conclusion of a separate trial at the Old Bailey of another group of men for a similar offence.
How Anjem Choudary's mouth was finally shut
Anjem Choudary's links to Belgian extremist group
The trial heard how the men decided in the summer of 2014 that the group then known as Isis [Islamic State in Iraq and al-Sham/the Levant] had formed a "Khilafah", or Islamic state, that demanded the obedience and support of Muslims.
They then invited others to support IS through speeches and announced their own oath of allegiance to its leader.
The oath of allegiance was a "turning point" which meant they could be put on trial, the Met Police said.
Choudary was once the spokesman for al-Muhajiroun, an organisation that can be linked to dozens of terrorism suspects.
Its leader Omar Bakri Muhammad fled the UK after the London suicide bombings on 7 July 2005, and over the years since, Choudary has become one of the most influential radical Islamists in Europe and a string of his followers have either left the UK to fight in Syria or tried to do soThe court heard that in one speech in March 2013 Choudary made it clear that he wanted the Muslim faith to "dominate the whole world".
"Next time when your child is at school and the teacher says 'What do you want when you grow up? What is your ambition?', they should say 'To dominate the whole world by Islam, including Britain - that is my ambition'," he said.
When IS announced a "Khilafah" - an Islamic state - in June 2014, the court heard that Choudary held a meeting with his closest aides at a curry house in east London.
Before accepting the "Khilafah" was legitimate, the jury heard he consulted his "spiritual guide" Omar Bakri Mohammed, who is currently in jail in Lebanon.
On 7 July 2014, the men's names appeared alongside Rahman's on the oath, which stated the al-Muhajiroun had "affirmed" the legitimacy of the "proclaimed Islamic Caliphate State".
During his trial Choudary also refused to denounce the execution of journalist James Foley by Mohammed Emwazi, nicknamed Jihadi John, in Syria in 2014.
"If you took an objective view there are circumstances where someone could be punished," he told the jury.
Supporters of Choudary included:
Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale, the murderers of soldier Lee Rigby
Suspected IS executioner Siddhartha Dhar
Omar Sharif, a British suicide bomber who attacked Tel Aviv in 2003
Brusthom Ziamani, jailed 12 years later for planning to kill in the streets of London
The trial also heard that Rahman - previously convicted of soliciting to murder - went on Facebook to tell his followers that migration to IS territory was a "duty".
"Let's be clear, the Muslims in the Khilafah need help," he wrote, after communicating with a British fighter who urged him to find recruits.
"The one who is capable to go over and help the Muslims, must go and help."Commander Dean Haydon, head of the Met Police's counter-terrorism unit, said the case which led to the conviction of Choudary and Rahman was a "significant prosecution in our fight against terrorism".
He said: "These men have stayed just within the law for many years, but there is no-one within the counter-terrorism world that has any doubts of the influence that they have had, the hate they have spread and the people that they have encouraged to join terrorist organisations.
"Over and over again we have seen people on trial for the most serious offences who have attended lectures or speeches given by these men.
"The oath of allegiance was a turning point for the police - at last we had the evidence that they had stepped over the line and we could prove they supported ISIS."
He said the trial had considered over 20 years' worth of material over more than 333 electronic devices containing 12.1 terabytes of storage data.
Sue Hemming, head of counter-terrorism at the Crown Prosecution Service, said the men "knowingly sought to legitimise a terrorist organisation and encouraged others to support it".
"They used the power of social media to attempt to influence those who are susceptible to these types of messages, which might include the young or vulnerable," she added.
Choudary currently has more than 32,000 followers on Twitter and his account can still be viewed online, despite requests for its removal in August last year and the following March.
He and Rahman will be sentenced at the Old Bailey on 6 September.

#1 Anjem Choudary and associates
MI5 'BLOCKED Scotland Yard from arresting radical ISIS supporter Anjem Choudary for years'
Anjem Choudary is an obvious MI5 agent. He should be awarded the Victoria Cross for his heroic work on infiltrating extremist Islamic cells.
But considering that these Islamic terrorists are blow-back for Western aggression in the Middle East, and the fact that ISIS was created by the CIA to topple President Assad, I hope Anjem enjoys his stint, for however long that may be, in Belmarsh. A prison that is notorious for its radical Muslim population. Sending Anjem to Belmarsh, where he was sent the last time he was imprisoned, is the equivalent of sending Jimmy Savile to a young offenders' hostel.
Every cloud has a silver lining though. While in prison, he can associate with these Muslim radicals, and perhaps pass on any intelligence to MI5 for a reduction in his prison sentence.
An obvious cover story to protect Anjem while he busily infiltrates ISIS in Britain's jails preventing future terrorist attacks. A pity the thick cunts on this forum don't get it.
Give him a medal!
