The Mossberg .22 lr tactical rifle
OK, OK, I know it's the much maligned .22 lr rimfire caliber. However: Quote:
With a weight of just over five pounds, and the 25 +1 capacity, IMO it would be a good addition to one's firearms collection. The rifle could be used for training novices, small game procurement, and many other applications. If the SHTF, several magazines with 25 rounds of ammo could deter lots of people who would do one grievous or fatal bodily harm and one could get the would-be harmers' toys away from them. It runs around $270.00 at retail in many areas and won't dent too many budgets. Comments?

I don't see anything wrong with it, and at first glance could be mistaken for an AR-15, so the intimidation factor is there. And Mossberg does make good shotguns. The .22LR semi-auto rifle I am most familiar with is the Ruger 10/22, which has been around a long time.
