Fears of Assault Weapon Ban cause run on Mini-14 Tactical Rifles

Stopped by a couple gun shops today. It seems tactical rifles are re-appearing on the shelves around here. The prices are still high, but nothing at all like the past few months.

I wonder if it is a result of all the companies refusing to do any business with states that have passed firearm legislation? Were these tac rifles once slated for LE from those states? If so, there is something comforting about that.
