Default Free DVD for fellow WN parents

Okay I will try again here:

Lynx and Lamb and I found some great DVDs for sale for 25 cents each in a thrift store. We bought the whole lot and would like to offer them to WN families since this is a great movie for our children.

The movie is The Pied Piper with Van Johnson. It was made in 1957.

Pied Piper of Hamelin, legendary figure of Hameln, Germany. He rid the town of its rats and mice by charming them away with his flute playing. When the citizens refused to pay him the price they had agreed upon, he charmed away their children out of revenge. Allegedly this occurred in 1284. Among those who immortalized this legend are Goethe, Robert Browning, and the brothers Grimm.

Here is another link that has more about the story.
http://www.answers.com/topic/the-pied-piper

This version is 87 minutes long and also contains an animated film about Hans Christian Anderson ( author of The Little Mermaid, Ugly Duckling and Thumbilina and Little Match Girl) and a bonus cartoon.

I have 40 available, if you are interested please PM me with your mailing address and I will send you one.

Dresden loves this and I think your kids will too.

April

I've sent you a PM for one. Oh, by the way, don't reveal my real name should you respond to this post.

Oh April, just another favor to ask of you. There's this poster named "Von Bluven's" who seems to believe he is some sort of Nazi bigshot in the movement, when he's anything but. I normally pay him no attention. But since he's asked me "what I've done for the movement", I'd like you to let him know that I have indeed contributed more to it than him. However, please do not tell him what I've done, or who I am, since I want to keep my identity concealed. Thanks again, and my girls will be glad to receive those CD's.

Sincerely,

Mr. Unknown

It is interesting that there are so many "white nationalists" who are constantly asking everyone " what have you done for your race?" when they themselves have done nothing. Unless of course being an opportunist counts as racial activism. I dont know anything about the person that you mentioned but I am thinking of one particular person whose main contribution to White Nationalism consists of posting people's home addresses, phone numbers and places of employment on the internet. People who gave that information out only because the organization they joined promised that info would be protected.

Mr Unknown,
I want to thank you publicly for your contribution to the Cause. I consider your work to be something that is not only unique but forward thinking and educational.

I don't know where else to post this. Some experts are saying now that the Grimm Brothers' stories are not traditional at all, they are just mediocre stories anybody could have made up. In any event, I sure love old fairy tales.

What the Brothers' Grimm did is monumental in saving some of the most valuable fables that generations lived by. Many of these old German tales are about extreme violence and sex , to teach hard moral lessons.

The stories of the Brothers Grimm that you are familiar with are the sanitized versions . The REAL versions are very macabre. The original Snow White was not about a sleeping princess , but about a dead princess and it wasn't a kiss that prince charming was trying to awaken her with . ( the prince was in deep despair, you can imagine what someone might do , in the depths of depression ).

Incidently, jack had a goose that laid golden eggs .... " the jew and the squire conspired to steal jacks' goose " .......... bet you won't see that line in any modern rendition of Jack and the Beanstalk !

( Goose that lays golden eggs , is metaphorical . It's like the modern term 'cash cow' , a business that is a real gold mine .)

April:

Please hold one for me if still available. I'm mailing a check for the girls' new CD per their website, and you might save some postage by mailing them together. Thanks.

I just sealed the letter and the check in the envelope and realized I forgot to specify where to send it (my check has my home address and my letter has my office address). Please send them to:

John A. Flynn

Cabot, AR 72023-1344

Thanks,

John

OK, you may have one of the more realistic versions , I should have said 'typical' .

And this'll make you happy: there is one story called The Jew in the Thornbush. I guess I am thick as a board, but I found it a bit hard to follow; the only way one could easily "get it" is, I think, to just automatically assume that the Jew in question has to be guilty, because it is understood that they are all swindlers. Anyway, he is hanged at the end.

I doubt that you are 'thick' , translations from Old German can be very awkward , even for German speaking folk . An age when jews are considered 'all swindlers', can you imagine ?

I remember reading an interview with a jew actor who stated that Germans in particular seem to love these violent, bloody stories (violent comedy).

Then there is The Poor Boy in the Grave. These folks really did not live happily ever after. And many, many more - 242, to be exact.

I guess the Grimm boys did change the Snow White story a bit in all the versions I have read; I didn't know that, originally, the prince indulged in a certain degenerate practice on the corpse to get it breathing again.

I think the gist was , the prince was driven insane with dispair , something like that, super tragedic theme.

Some yr. ago I heard a fairy tale expert on the radio who was just beside herself over the idea that anyone would change a traditional fairy tale to make it nicey-nice for kiddies. My understanding is that children instinctively grasp the meaning of these stories.

I want the originals to be preserved ! However , I don't mind some simple version for young kids . I try to be a realist , still I wouldn't want to expose a young child to super-morbid themes, just too much for a little mind to handle.
If you happen to come across any of real versions on the internet or other source , give me heads up

What is the name of the book you refer to , author , title ?

Well , thank you , I will look for that translation next time I am in a library or bookstore . It would be nice to have a full and faithful translation of the entire collection, wo editing or condensation .

I will have to plead ignorance, in that I am not familiar with "The Jew in the Thornbush". It could be leakage , it could be that he is not a jew .

They can gripe about anything, even their own shadow , 'Oy , it follows me everywhere, it must be anti-semitic'.

This discussion shows one thing , we need great repositories of white culture , like Solargeneral.com is trying to create.

I would suspect that all the text pertinent to white literature could be held on one DVD. ( I wish that the book you have was in digital format, so that it could be spread around .)

You might find the editorial review by Amazon interesting, to say the least. And also the readers' reviews, 31 in number, are worth reading. - Stronza.
Ghetto Blaster just posted the 'jew in the thornbush' in another thread. I now recognize the tale , I remembered the theme of the tale , just not the title.
I use to have a collection of tales that warned about jews, some medieval , some ancient, don't know what happened to them.

Both 'the Merchant of Venice' and 'the jew of Malta' are adult versions of these cautionary tales, but with more flesh to the stories.

I will try to look those up on Amazon, if time permits .
