Meghan Markle reportedly ‘miserable’ in her new royal role

Meghan Markle is “miserable” and “stressed” in her new role as the Duchess of Sussex, US reports have claimed.

A source close to the former “Suits” actress told Us Weekly that Meghan is struggling to cope with rumors of a rift between herself and Kate Middleton and increasing public scrutiny.

Acknowledging that Meghan is “definitely bothered by all the reports and speculation,” the source also claimed that the Duchess of Sussex has been affected by recent reports portraying her as a social climber.

Hollywood insiders recently told Vanity Fair that Meghan is “not a person you can actually be friends with” and that the “insanely smart” Duchess’ goal “was always to become a household name.”

What a sorry excuse for a man, he's a prince, doesn't he have better things to do with his life than marry a sheboon and make it his 'purpose' to stop her feelings from being hurt. By god.

Meghan Markle backs campaign to 'decolonise the curriculum' by adding more black women to university staff instead of 'male, pale, and stale' professors in her first political intervention since joining the royal family

The Duchess of Sussex has shown her support for a campaign by black academics and students that aims to 'decolonise' university curriculum in the UK, it has emerged.

It is the 37-year-old's first apparently political intervention since she became part of the Royal Family, marrying Prince Harry last May.

The movement aims to 'confront the legacies of the empire' and racism on campuses and promotes black and female thinkers instead of 'male, pale and stale' ones.

Meghan Markle’s half-sister challenges duchess to lie detector test

Meghan Markle has been challenged to take a lie detector test by her half-sister after her bombshell letter to their dad was revealed.

The Duchess of Sussex had written to beg her father, Thomas Markle, 74, to stop “victimizing” her and speaking to the press after she married Prince Harry last May.

The letter’s existence was revealed when five of Meghan’s pals anonymously spoke out to defend pregnant Meghan, 37, saying she had tried reaching out to her dad but instead had been met with a request to do a photo shoot together.

This week, Thomas released excerpts of the letter that saw her rebuff claims she had never reached out to him.

MEGHAN'S TEARS Meghan Markle ‘burst into tears when she learned half-sis Samantha was writing tell-all book’ and feels ‘taken-advantage of’

A working title for the book was The Diary of Princess Pushy's Sister, 54-year-old Samantha revealed in 2016.

And earlier this month, she announced a possible second book she is working on - which is set to be called In The Shadows Of The Duchess.

The publication of the first book has been slated for April - around the time that pregnant Meghan is due to give birth to her and Prince Harry's child.

According to Samantha, the tome will "cover everything from behind the scenes that the world does not know about", she told the Daily Star.

But embattled Meghan - whose ties to her American family have come under intense strain since marrying Harry - is said to have been devastated by Samantha writing about her.

The Duchess now refuses to read any articles featuring her relatives - and tries not to look at any gossip about herself.

A friend told DailyMail.com: "She stopped reading things after finding out about her sister's book.

"She cried when she found out about it.

Meghan Markle’s alienating the palace after lavish baby shower, says Diana’s aide

Meghan Markle took Manhattan this past week, embarking on a $500,000 baby shower with a gaggle of girlfriends including Serena Williams, who co-hosted the star-studded party.

But a former chief aide to Princess *Diana, the late mother of Meghan’s husband Prince Harry, told The Post that the dazzling Duchess of Sussex risks alienating the very people who are meant to be looking after her at Kensington Palace.

When Page Six revealed on Monday that Meghan had landed in NYC, the palace stated that this was a private, self-funded “quiet girls trip.”
However, it turned into a circus as the Duchess checked into a $75,000-a-night suite at The Mark hotel and dined at Laduree bakery and the Polo Bar with pals..

She made no attempt to keep things low-key by using private entrances. Staff at The Mark were forced to put up crash barriers when crowds grew outside the Upper East hotel, watching baby-shower guest Amal Clooney treat the event like an Oscars bash as she arrived clad in a red jumpsuit.

Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton Tension Could Be Behind Harry and Meghan’s Move To The ’Burbs

Tension between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton could be behind the dramatic decision by Harry and Meghan to move out of London’s Kensington Palace, where they would be living in the shadow of the future king and queen, according to a new report.

A source is quoted by the Daily Mail as saying: “Kate and Meghan are very different people. They don’t really get on.”

The official announcement this weekend that Harry and Meghan are to move out of their home on the grounds of Kensington Palace, relocating 20 miles away to a 10-bedroom cottage in the Frogmore House estate, not far from Windsor Castle, caught observers by surprise.

BORN FREE Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will raise their baby as ‘gender fluid’ and will avoid any stereotypes, according to friends

MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry will reportedly raise their baby 'gender fluid' and 'won't impose stereotypes' on it.

A source close to the couple told Vanity Fair that Meghan Markle, 37, was telling guests at her recent New York baby shower that she would raise their baby in a "fluid" way.

“She was talking openly about it,” said the source to the magazine.

“Meghan has been talking to some of her friends about the birth and how she and Harry plan to raise their baby. Her exact word was 'fluid'.

"She said they plan to raise their child with a fluid approach to gender and they won’t be imposing any stereotypes."

Meghan, now seven months pregnant, flew from London to the US last week for five nights of shopping and pampering.

Palace denies magazine claims that Meghan Markle told friends that she and Prince Harry 'planned to raise their child with a fluid approach to gender'

The Palace has denied magazine claims that Meghan Markle told friends that she and Prince Harry 'planned to raise their child with a fluid approach to gender.'

The 37-year-old Duchess of Sussex was said to have told her friends that she and Harry, 34, will be avoiding gender-stereotypes with their son or daughter; the revelation came just a month after it was reported that they had designed a gender-neutral nursery for the unborn child.

But royal officials have finally refuted the magazine piece, saying: 'This story is totally false.'

'Meghan has been talking to some of her friends about the birth and how she and Harry plan to raise their baby. Her exact word was fluid,' a source told Vanity Fair.

'She said they plan to raise their child with a fluid approach to gender and they won’t be imposing any stereotypes,' the royal insider added to the magazing.

It's unclear what exactly the royal may have meant by the term 'fluid,' as there are multiple interpretations of what that might look like.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry caught in ‘gender fluid’ baby row, palace in rare statement

MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry have been caught in a storm over whether they were planning to raise their royal baby as "gender fluid".

Kensington Palace was forced to issue a rare statement about intimate details on the royal couple and their anticipated baby, after Vanity Fair made the claim yesterday. Gender fluid parenting means at the very least avoiding pushing what could be seen as traditional gender stereotypes. Last month it was reported the couple have constructed a gender-neutral nursery at their home in Windsor. Meghan is expected to give birth to the couple's first child this spring.

Speaking to Vanity Fair magazine a source commented: “Meghan has been talking to some of her friends about the birth and how she and Harry plan to raise their baby. Her exact word was fluid.

“She said they plan to raise their child with a fluid approach to gender and they won’t be imposing any stereotypes.”

The source was not clear on exactly what Meghan meant by gender “fluid”.

Some parents deliberately avoid associating their children with historically gender-linked colours, in particular, pink and blue.

They may also avoid promoting toys which have historically been associated with one gender.

MARKLED DIFFERENCE Ambitious Meghan Markle ‘doesn’t realise’ she can’t be the star of the show as Kate Middleton will be Queen, royal author claims

According to royal expert Anna Pasternak, the Duchess of Sussex has not come to terms with her lesser role in the Royal Family and risks being seen 'as a threat to the heir'

SHE'S a former Hollywood actress who attracts international attention wherever she goes - but Meghan Markle "doesn't realise" she can't be the star of the show when Kate Middleton becomes Queen.

According to author Anna Pasternak, Meghan's role within the Royal Family is to support the monarchy and not steal the limelight.

Al Sharpton: Royal Wedding Proves White Supremacy ‘on Its Last Breath’

The Reverend Al Sharpton has claimed that the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex and the mixed-race actress Meghan Markle is evidence that white supremacy is “on its last breath.”

Sharpton made the remarks while speaking at his weekly National Action Network rally Saturday in Harlem as the Royal Wedding took place.

“When you got little white girls in Wales saying, ‘I want to be like Meghan,’ there’s a shift worldwide that white male supremacy is on its last breath,” Sharpton said.

Inside The Racist Online Attacks On Meghan Markle

NPR's Lulu Garcia-Navarro talks to Max Foster, royal correspondent and anchor at CNN, about his reporting on racist and sexist attacks against Meghan Markle.
(...)
GARCIA-NAVARRO: So when you looked at some of these accounts, especially on Twitter, what did you see? What did you find?

FOSTER: Well, what we found was that we took 5,000 tweets which contained anti-Meghan hashtags. We found that 20 accounts were driving 70 percent of the coverage. We don't know how many people were behind those accounts. We don't think they are bots because they all seem quite tailored, but they're causing a lot of damage.

GARCIA-NAVARRO: What has been the reaction from the palace and tech companies?

FOSTER: Instagram has helped them with a tool, which allows them to preblock certain phrases, certain images. So they're working with social media companies. And I think they're quite uncomfortable with it because they didn't want to get involved in the moderation to the extent that they are. They knew there would be accusations that they're trying to just have positive comments. But I think it got to the point where they just had enough.
(...)
Certain groups are using - not just making hashtags but also some political hashtags as well. One of them was Brexit. That turned up quite a lot. Another one was MAGA - Make America Great Again - that turned up a lot. I will say that one thing at the forefront of palace minds right now is a case from the end of last year, where there was an image that was circulated on social media showing Prince Harry calling for him to be shot because he was a race traitor for marrying Meghan Markle.

GARCIA-NAVARRO: Wow...

FOSTER: Now, a BBC investigation suggested that at the center of this case is a neo-Nazi group in the U.K. linked with a U.S. neo-Nazi group. I mean, we can't go into too much detail because it's an ongoing investigation, but their fear certainly is that this type of trolling can create a permissive environment. Someone carried out a violent threat. And that's what they're most concerned about right now, and they don't want to give them any sort of platform.

Royal BOMBSHELL: Why Meghan and Harry were ‘unhappy with OVERSHADOWED royal wedding’

MEGHAN MARKLE and Prince Harry found the run-up to their 2018 royal wedding “very, very difficult” and their big day was “overshadowed” by the antics of the Markle family, a royal expert claims.
(…)
Channel 5 documentary “Royal Scandals”, which aired earlier this month, heard from royal author Katie Nicholl, who said the big day had been “overshadowed”.

Ms Nicholl said: “The run up to the royal wedding was a very, very difficult time I think for Meghan and for Harry.

“What should have been the happiest day of their lives was overshadowed by a very unhappy build-up to the wedding.”

Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle Snr, did not attend, however the Palace only learnt of his decision when the news broke via celebrity website TMZ in the run-up to the wedding.

Shortly before the revelation, he had caused upset by appearing in a series of staged paparazzi photos despite Meghan’s plea not to.

Samantha Markle, the duchess’ half-sister, also caused headaches for the newlyweds.

In a series of outbursts, she called the Duchess of Sussex a “social climber”, “Duchess of Nonsense”, and claimed she was about to publish her own book entitled “The Diary of Princess Pushy’s Sister”.

In January 2019, Ms Markle announced she would be releasing two volumes of the book, with the title changed to “In the Shadows of the Duchess I & II”.

Moment Meghan Markle was SHOT DOWN by Queen during jewellery row - 'Oh no, she doesn't'

MEGHAN Markle sparked a cold rebuttal from the Queen after demanding to be allowed to wear a necklace from the monarch's private jewellery collection, royal commentator Gavin Gray claimed.

Meghan Markle gained access to several pieces of jewellery preserved as part of the Royal Collection and has been allowed to sport some magnificent pieces when on official outings with Prince Harry. Royal insiders this week claimed the Duchess of Sussex has already been banned from wearing some of the precious trinkets to preserve the distinction of roles between her and sister-in-law Kate, Duchess of Cambridge. But commentator Gavin Gray suggested Meghan sparked a chilling reaction from the Queen when she demanded to be allowed to wear a part of the collection.

Speaking to Studio 10, Mr Gray said: "There was this row where Meghan wanted this particular necklace, Harry said ‘Meghan gets what Meghan wants,’ and the Queen turned around and said ‘oh, no, she doesn’t. I decide what necklace is going to be worn out of the Royal Collection'.

"This also fits in with this idea in some ways Harry feels Meghan is being looked down, not being given the same footing or standing as Kate. This is an ongoing battle and a row I can see brewing."

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, Gives Birth to a Boy

By Ellen Barry and Palko Karasz
May 6, 2019

LONDON — The Duke and Duchess of Sussex — better known as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle — on Monday welcomed their first child, a boy, the first multiracial baby in the British monarchy’s recent history.

The newborn is seventh in line to the British throne, behind Prince Harry. It is not clear whether the child will receive a royal title, like those bestowed on the three children of Prince William, Harry’s older brother, and William’s wife, Catherine.
