That link you posted is not working for me.

http://www.cambridge.org/uk/educatio.../classics/clc/

I reccomend this for anyone interested in teaching Latin to their children. They are well made and easy for kids starting pretty early.

They're available very cheap used through Amazon, AmazonUK and Ebay.

School of Phenomenal Memory. Check out the new demo video. This stuff is really cutting edge. I've memorized the entire database below. I'm starting on the language section. I'll have the Russian alphabet memorized soon and by the end of that section I'll be able to translate entire Russian ebooks out loud while listening.

What YOU should expect after completing just 23 lessons out of 60

It is hard to believe!

√ You will be able to remember the full information volume contained in this table.

√ You will be able to remember all the data in direct and reverse order.

√ You will be able to answer any question on any piece of information contained in the table as well as call it by its ordinal number (without a hint).

√ You will instantly remember the information using only one element. For example, you will be able to answer the question, “What was the number 29 about?” The answer is – “Saturn’s distance from the sun is 9,539 astronomical units and the period of rotation around the Sun equals 29.46 earth years.”

As you can see there is no information too complex or too hard. With Phenomenal Memory, learning and studying becomes a joy.

You will learn how to properly memorize various types of information as well as to master the ability to retain and retrieve it even after a long time.
There is no analog to this course! Only 100% memorization! Free movement of information throughout the brain like files in a computer! It will seem that you can read the information from a page seen in your imagination!

We just started Dresden on a math program called MathUSee. It works well to help show kids who are visual learners the concepts of math and starts from basic counting and addition clear to Calculus.

I also would recommend the Khan Institute, It has short 10 minute videos that go from basic addition through Trig, Chemistry, Biology and Physics. Basically a math and science based education for free at your fingertips.

I'm playing it by ear.

I signed up for HSLDA and they have a lot of resource links and homeschool cooperatives and support groups.

My goddaughter has been so much the happier since I pulled her out of institutional school.

I am learning a lot about her and enjoying her as a person so much more.

There is a good resource forum called the well trained mind.

education . com and k5 . com have handouts but they are limited.

The hardest is math and I am not a fan of saxon math. I am developing my own method for teaching 'excitable' children.

Default Music Theory Lessons elementary age

Gardenofpraise dot com

I just found some wonderful easy pieces by Bach. Little Fugue, Musette, Ode to Joy.

There are other resources at the site besides music but I haven't checked them out yet. I saw history there and I'm looking forward to checking that out.

Google also free sheet music.

Sometimes I will google free sheet music or the song I want in images and save the image.

I now have a growing repertoire of simple classical pieces.

I just made a .pptx on music theory from the site for my niece and she loves it. However you can use the site directly for music theory, it is user friendly.

Also check out pinterest for sheet music and homeschool resources.
