So this memorial still exists today? It wasn't destroyed by the Allies after the war?

Isn't it funny that the word "Allies" is simply "All" and "lies" put together?

Default Saxons' Grove

Local Name: Sachsenhain) To the north of the town center of Verden is the Sachsenhain (Saxons' Grove), where Charlemagne is said to have had 4,500 defeated Saxons executed in 782. A path (2km/1.25mi) runs round the site, lined with 4,500 erratic boulders set up here in 1934-35 to commemorate the event. On the south side of the grove is a "stork nursery".

Archaeological Fantasies: How Pseudoarchaeology Misrepresents the Past

The Sachsenhain is particularly representative of what was referred to during the Niirnberg trials by the German prehistorian Assien Bohmers as "the hoax ...
research characteristic of that time".
