Default Glenn Miller for US Senate In Today"s Kansas City Star Newspaper

More free advertisement for my campaign. Reporter Dave Helling phoned last Friday while I was out of town. I was gonna phone him at 9 this morning, but another KC Star reporter, Mike Hendrick, phoned me at 8:45 saying Helling's article had already been published, and that he wanted to do an interview, himself. So he did. His article will appear in Wednesday's edition.

A fairly unbiased and objective, comparatively speaking, article follows:

Campaign ad places hateful message on the air

By DAVE HELLING

The Kansas City Star

The program director of KMBZ radio in Kansas City says the station has no choice but to air commercials with racially biased and anti-Semitic claims from a write-in candidate for the U.S. Senate from Missouri.

The ads — which began on the station last week — are from Glenn Miller, a Springfield man who once ran the White Patriot Party. He’s been described by the Southern Poverty Law Center in Montgomery, Ala., as a white supremacist and former paramilitary organizer.

One of Miller’s ads, aired during the Darla Jaye talk show program in the evening, urges whites to “take their country back” and disparages Jews and nonwhites.

The Missouri secretary of state’s office said Miller has filed required papers to qualify as a write-in candidate in the 2010 Senate race.

Under Federal Communications Commission rules and federal law, a “legally qualified candidate” must be given reasonable, uncensored access to broadcast airtime if he or she can pay the cost.

“The company is required by federal law to run these spots and to do so without any edits,” said KMBZ program director Neil Larrimore. “Our hands are tied.”

Larrimore said Miller has purchased airtime on at least one other local station.

Miller did not return phone calls seeking comment.

The law center and the Jewish Community Relations Bureau in Kansas City declined to comment on the ads because, as nonprofit organizations, they are prohibited from opposing or endorsing candidates.

But Leonard Zeskind has written about Miller and others in his book “Blood and Politics: The History of the White Nationalist Movement From the Margins to the Mainstream.”

“I think people have to stand up and say it’s wrong,” Zeskind said.
While Miller has filed required paperwork with the Missouri secretary of state, he has not filed with the Federal Election Commission and won’t have to unless he raises or spends $5,000 or more.

At that point, an FEC spokesman said, Miller must file a statement of candidacy and regular campaign finance disclosures. If he doesn’t, the spokesman said, he could face sanctions and penalties, although the FEC can’t force his ads off the air.

The ads indicate that they are paid for by the “Committee to Elect Write-In Candidate Glenn Miller to the U.S. Senate.” There is no record of such a committee with the FEC, a spokeswoman said, and a search of the Missouri Ethics Commission’s Web site shows no such committee.
The station is running a disclaimer before the Miller ads, which is allowed under FCC rules, although the disclaimer cannot criticize or support the commercials.

And the station is not allowed to censor the message, legal experts said.

“We’ve dealt with situations where white supremacists have qualified for a place on the ballot in a congressional race and wanted to run racist ads — and stations have had to allow it,” wrote David Oxenford on the Web site of a law firm specializing in broadcasting. “While this may seem like a bad outcome, it does make sure that stations cannot block unpopular viewpoints from being aired so that all points of view can be expressed by political candidates.

“Thus, while individual cases may result in ugly situations, the overall purpose of encouraging diverse political speech is achieved by the rules,” Oxenford wrote.

Oh the injustice! They'd love to get a word in on everything. God forbid you should want to say whatever you want.

Glenn you can always use that article as proof to any radio station that doubts that you are in fact a legitimate candidate.

Of course the selective use of disclaimers is in itself a slimy, jewy method of inferred criticism. The scum ought to be forced to put disclaimers on the Repulicrap ads as well.

KCTV Channel 5 also aired a story. Not only did they reproduce the some of the text of the ads, but they also produced non-embeddable videos on the first 5 ads. The videos all have a screen shot of VNN Forum in the background. Links to the videos at the story.

Candidate Draws Criticism For Controversial Ads

POSTED: 5:36 pm CDT March 29,2010
UPDATED: 6:13 pm CDT March 29,2010

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A Missouri man who is running for the United States Senate is making national headlines -- not for his political platform, but for his radio campaign ads. Some people have described the advertisements for candidate Glenn Miller as racist and hateful.

The program director at KMBZ 980 said they had no choice but to run the ads. The spots ran during a conservative talk show on the local station.

"It's time for white men to unite, join together and take back our country," one of the ads hails.

Miller, who is from Springfield, Mo., is running for the seat being vacated by retiring Republican Sen. Kit Bond.

"We've sit back and allowed the Jews to take over our government, our banks, our media," Miller said in one of the ads. "We've allowed tens of millions of foreign mud people to invade our country."

KMBZ officials said the company is required by law to run political ads. Federal Communications Commission regulations say that a legally qualified candidate for any public office shall be afforded equal opportunities. But some people say broadcasters should be opting out of the ads.

"Maybe they are looking for ratings," said Devin Slimmer of Kansas City, Mo. "I wouldn't be listening to the radio if they are playing that."

Others, even if they don't agree with the message, agree with freedom of speech.

"The radio station has to uphold that freedom of speech," said Macaela Stephenson of Kansas City, Mo. "It's a slippery slope when they start telling people, 'No, we won't air this, but we will air this.'"

Political science professor Charles Moran at Rockhurst University said the political climate is different now than it was years ago. There appears to be more anger and fear among voters.

"In both parties, these extreme groups have been formed," Moran said. "You have the tea parties on the Republican side. Moveon.org on the liberals' side. You never had all that stuff to get people all worked up."

Ads like Miller's spark emotions.

"But you don't care, do you white? All you care about is satisfying your belly, pocketbook and genitals and watching the coons play ball on television," Miller said in one of the ads.

"I've never seen anything in my lifetime like that," Moran said. "Let's see how many votes Glenn Miller gets."

Other radio stations contacted by KCTV5 to see whether they would play Miller's ads declined to comment. Miller has legally filed a declaration to run for office with the Missouri Secretary of State. Miller did not return KCTV5's calls on Monday.

When radio listeners hear the disclaimers, their ears perk up, and they listen closely for the "controversial" commentary about to come up. And so, the disclaimers help us. We should thank radio stations, therefore.

Yes, many TV, newspapers, radio news, and other medias are either citing our WN website addresses, and/or actually broadcasting the audios of some of my radio ads, including the websites I'm urging folks to loggon to, in the broadcasts.

I wonder what the kiken medias are up to with that ??

Btw, KC Star newspaper reporter Mike Hendricks phoned me again this morning with additional questions. Says his article (the 2nd in the KC Star) will probably be published in tomorrow's edition (31 March).

(quote from the above news article)

""But you don't care, do you whitey? All you care about is satisfying your belly, pocketbook and genitals and watching the coons play ball on television," Miller said in one of the ads.

"I've never seen anything in my lifetime like that," Moran (University professor) said.

NOTE: The poor dear. Stick around professor, they're gonna get "worse". . . . lots "worse". . . . especially after I'm elected and in the Rose Garden with Obama-yo-momma.

This is fucking awesome!
This goes way past hosting radio shows in which the audience is already pro-white.

Reminds of the radio interview Alex had with the radio station out in L.A. a couple years ago.

Rounder: It looks like you've really hit the big time now. The New York Daily News has picked up the story. Towards the end, they briefly mention Tom Metzger's campaign.

Missouri hatemonger runs racist radio ads... to get elected to U.S. Senate

By Michael Sheridan
DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITER

Tuesday, March 30th 2010, 12:16 PM

A Missouri man is counting on write-in votes - and racist radio ads - to catapult him into the United States Senate.

69-year-old bigot Glenn Miller, a leader of the White Patriot's Party during the 1980s, has paid for a series of offensive advertisements to be played on a local station. And there apparently is nothing the radio station can do about it.

“The company is required by federal law to run these spots and to do so without any edits,” Neil Larrimore, KMBZ program director, told the Kansas City Star. “Our hands are tied.”

One of the statements Miller makes in his ads includes, "Jews control the federal government and the media. Surely you don't still believe white men are in control, do ya? It's the Jews, stupid."

In another, he states:

"The future of white children will be a nightmare."

Many of his ads actually call white people "stupid," mixed in with an assortment of racist slurs directed at minorities.

This isn't the first time Miller has run for office. He made a similar bid in 2006, during which time he got only 40 votes, according to The Associated Press.

Another white supremacist, this one in Indiana, has been making a similar bid. Tom Metzger, 71, is using ads in local papers to support his write-in candidacy to get elected into the House of Representatives.

Like Miller, he has several failed attempts to get elected to public office under his belt.

Exclamation "White" with a capital W!

In the print media and transcripts of electronic media, if they are going to capitalize the word "Jew" then they MUST capitalize the word "White". The word "non-White" should also have a capital W.

The word "white" is a color, but the word "White" refers to a race of many peoples.

Keep up the good work! This is the best value for money I have seen for a looooong time!

Yeah, I caught that, A.A. Also, Associated Press, United Press International, USA Today, and a hell of a lot more. AP and UPI "stuff" goes out all over the world, I understand.

Is Metzger running radio ads ?? Much cheaper than newspaper ads, that's for sure.

"69-year-old bigot Glenn Miller..."

Is it legal to defame a FEDERAL CADIDATE FOR OFFICE in such a way?
