Default David Bowie: "fascist" - Who remembers this?

Victoria Station, 1976. He'd already spoken of his admiration for fascism in Rolling Stone magazine but dropped it once the "legitimate" worlds of politics and media set out to fry his faggot arse...

40 years ago David Bowie had some advice for a lad like joE. Unfortunately joE was still years away from being even a foetus. So it fell on non-existent ears...

Quote:
"Britain is ready for a fascist leader... I think Britain could benefit from a fascist leader. After all, fascism is really nationalism... I believe very strongly in fascism, people have always responded with greater efficiency under a regimental leadership."

The NF supported Bowie in the '70's.

I really doubt that and see no actual evidence of it.

I seem to recall there was a rush of excitement that he'd said positive things but it caused a bit of a shitstorm which soon blew over. Fascism can offer great appeal to the youth but only if it's positively promoted. That was never gonna happen, and the Jews turned a generation on to punk. A self-degrading ethos that deliberately incorporated examples of fascist and Nazi symbolism in its crude apparel and iconography.

Yes, Malcolm Maclaren (Jew) was mainly responsible for that.

I must admit, I like Bowie musically though. I suppose come the great day, that confession will get me sent to a re-education camp?

His guitar player, Mick Ronson, was excellent. His approach to electric guitar (riffing and vibrato) was much influenced by his early love for the cello.

A very talented lad from Hull who died of cancer at 46.

Bowie did seem to have a kind of "swastika fetish" mentioning them in quite a few songs. That's not unusual though, Third Reich/NS imagery is second to none.

One for Chubby Chris:

Apparently Bowie who has just died of bowel cancer met his wife Angie when they discovered they were being sodomised by the same man. So not surprising to find him being lionised at VNNUK by the usual suspects.

Nothing new there the 70's NF was under the control of sodomites, it would be surprising to discover the 70's NF did not support Bowie and his ilk
