I thought Mary Tyler Moore had the most impressive performance in the movie.
Her character so different from the goody, cheerful role on her TV show.
When first watched the film I was thinking where did she get that persona from?
I looked up Judd Hirsch and he is 88 now. He has a couple of kids by a jew wife then he has some niglet boy so he must be an oil driller too.

I liked Elizabeth McGovern's character. The actress who played Karen, the girl who killed herself, is Dinah Manoff a jew. She played one of the ssisters on Empty Nest with Kristy McNichol. Kristy McNichol etired from acting because of a mental condition, She is a lesbo now.

Boy, I remember when this film was THE serious drama.
I see it as a typical film of anglo angst that the wise Jew naturally straightens out. We know how psychologically sound all of them are.

Mary Tyler Moore played Mary Todd Lincoln in a TV adaptation of Gore Vidal's Lincoln, with Sam Waterson as Lincoln. she got roasted for not being credible, but actually did rather well.
