Which Is The Tallest Race In The World?

Which race is tallest? Which race on average has more taller people in the world? What race claimed the tallest man alive? Whites or Blacks? We know asian orientals sure as hell can't even compete. What, they have like 10 7 footers in China out of a population of a billion? The rest of them are like 5' 6". Hahaha....Does anyone have any articles or info to back up which race you think is tallest?

I recall reading a study which included the height of Americans. Whites were on average taller than blacks, but blacks did have more in the 95th percentile. So the distribution curve is flattened down a little for the blacks. On a related note this is similar to IQ for Whites vs. East Asians. Whites have a lower average intelligence, but we have a higher number of geniuses (higher standard deviation).

I believe the Dutch are the tallest people in the world. I just looked at a website and the average height for Dutch men is ~6 feet. I am reminded of this beautiful Dutch girl I met in Hengelo. She was 6 foot tall, basically your dream girl.

From the stats for Americans on that website. I can say that out of 100 random American males (all races) 3 of them would be my height or taller.

I also wanted to add that if you go to Africa you will see that blacks aren't as tall as black americans. I don't have any numbers but I am sure africans are atleast several inches on average shorter than Whites. I know they would be taller if they had a good diet and didn't spend all their money on alcohol, but whose fault is that?

2 possible contenders are the Montenegrin Whites, as well as the Med Aryans from Crete. Both groups are extremely tall.

No question it's the Dutch. Oddly enough as Diablo states, the Greeks are taller than one might expect. The shortest Euros are Italians.

Its true of all Greeks but especially the ones from Crete. Have no idea why, but that the case.
Italians were trraditionally short but have grown dramatically in stature with increased meat consumption. The relatively low protien diets which many Meds have traditionally consumed was actually not appropriate for their subrace. Duetary requirements even vary sub-racially to some extent.

I wish I could remember the name of those guards, the ones with the um, kilts, and pompom shoes, that are depicted on bottles of ouzo. I had a cousin tell me they all have to be over 6-2 or some similar minimum height requirement. How racist of those Greeks. That sounds like the SS! [aghast]

There's some African tribe that has the tallest people, on average. Among Whites, I believe it's the Dutch, with Scandinavians second. Might be wrong about that, but that's what I recall reading. I'm 6'1", and I can say from studying in Germany, I never saw so many people half a head taller than I am than I did in Europe. I'd say I was about 1-2 inches taller than the average German - not much.

No, but seriously, I concur with diablo's statement/theory about the people from Montenegro and thereabouts.

I don't know any Montenegrins, but I'm 6'5" and travel all over Europe and the US and CCCP and the tallest population- where I felt I fit in the most and wasn't dwarfing others- like in France, was Poland. I felt just slightly above avg, and there were plenty of people taller than I was.

Sabonis is not a Slav, he's from Lithuania, and if he's 100% then he's indo-european, but Poland also controlled LT and he may follow that bloodline. I've met him as well- he's about 7'3 or 4" and has bad knees- still plays in Kaunas for a team called Zalgiris. Zydrunas Ilgauskas also is LT and is playing for Cleveland and is just a little shorter. A 7'3" 17 year old LT player named Martynas Andriuskevicius should get drafted next year...

iceland has the tallest whites - they decend from the vikings, but i heard a tribe of niggers in africa has a taller average height than anyone.

I once visited Split, Yugoslavia (it was still Yugoslavia back then), and I was astounded by all the tall people there.

There were two obvious ethnic groups. One looked like typical souther Italians: short and olive-skinned with dark, course hair. The other group had light hair and features. Average height for men was about six-four to six-five, with men six-eight and above common. Most women were six feet or a little better.

I was in the Navy then. Most places we went you could spot the Americans because they were a head taller than the locals (whether the Americans were black or white). Here the Americans were conspicuous because they were so much shorter than the locals, or at least the fair-haired, tall tribe. I figured this group explained why Yugoslavia was always at least a bronze medalist team in Olympic basketball for many years.

I am 7' and a quarter Dutch.
Almost everyone in my family of many is 6' or over.
I've only seen a few people taller than me in my recent life.
2 were white.

I read a story in the paper yesterday that said a Ukrainian man was the tallest at 8' 4".

The reporter claimed he was taller than Robert Wadlow by 2 1/2".

I don't know if he had his numbers right on Wadlow.

He's 33 and still growing.

33-year old Leonid Stadnik is 2 meters 55 centimeters tall, and he continues growing.
Mr. Stadnik surpassed the result registered in Guinness World Records (2 meters 44 centimeters) 3 years ago, and he continues to grow. He is going to be awarded the title "Pride of Ukraine" soon. However, his extraordinary height gives the man more problems than fame. Leonid Stadnik is concerned that if he continues growing, he will have to enter his house on all his fours soon.

The tallest man in the world has to squat and bend while walking not to hit the ceiling with his head. He just hates his height as his cottage rooms were constructed under Soviet standards: in the older part of the cottage the rooms are 2 meter 20 centimeters high, in another part they are 2 meters 60 centimeters high.

Leonid has the biggest palm in the world as well - his palm is 31 centimeters long. Probably for this reason he does not drink alcohol: any glass looks tiny to him.

Unlike other tallest men, he is not well-known because he was born in small village Podolyantsy in Ukraine, near Chernobyl. Because of lack of roads, no vehicle can reach his village, and local residents use horse carts for trips. Radiation might cause wonders in the area: the fattest man in the world (Vasily Yanov, 450 kilograms) lived there as well.

Leonid Stadnik does not consider himself successful. He graduated both from high school and from university with distinction, but cannot work as a vet: cows get scared of the giant man.

Mr. Stadnik blames doctors of his trouble: they removed some tumor from his brain when he was 13, but this affected his hypophysis and he started growing fast. When Leonid was in 9th grade, he became the biggest man among the villagers.

Doctors did not allow Leonid to join the Army because he had flat feet. The man took offence of the doctors, "I don"t go to doctors anymore. They even did not look at me at the military registration and enlistment office. They were only reading their papers. People should not be treated this way".


Leonid tries to avoid seeing himself, he has no mirror in his house. He reconciled with adverse circumstances and enjoys with the little things he has, like a genuine Christian. "I don"t drink spirits and don"t smoke, I haven"t tried beer in my life", says Leonid. "I am OK without over-indulgence".

He has dreamed of seeing the world, but was only in Ukrainian capital Kiev ("they brought me to the Zoo, and I felt myself an exhibit"), and in regional center Zhitomir. The man has big trouble while> traveling: no transport fits him. "I can"t enter the motor vehicle. In a bus I have to squat, this embarrasses people. I can"t even enter the tractor, although I know studied tractor-driving before. I can move around only in a horse cart"

However, this 200-kilogram man is too heavy for a horse.

Another problem of the giant man is finding clothes and footwear.

"For 10 years I was chief vet at the farm 7 kilometers away from my village. I went there by horse cart, in winter I got frozen". Leonid says that the farm has "an aggressive environment": the mud ate away his only boots. He received new boots only in 1.5 years - a footwear factory in Zhitomir produced a pair of boots of size 60 for him.

To find socks which could be big enough is another critical problem for Leonid.

The man has no TV set ("I don"t need it, I am too busy working on my farm") and telephone ("I was given a mobile, but it was hard to press its buttons with my fingers").

One day he was lucky to find a big sweater, "I bought the sweater at the second-hand shop, it fits me all right. There are big people somewhere if one can see clothes for them".

Leonid usually wears quilted jacket, clothes for work on a farm and a cap. He has a business suit, but the suit is too small for him now: trousers are 30 centimeters shorter than his leg length. Leonid is not embarrassed that his clothing is not new: he wants to look just like any villager. Recently he was offered to put on white clothes and campaign for some candidate for Ukrainian presidency.

"There are three ways to use my height: repairing roofs (Leonid is able to repair the cottage roofs while standing on the ground), put electric bulbs on the posts and promote some candidates. Nothing of this satisfies me. I"d better earn my living on a farm. Politics is not my area", Leonid says proudly.

Leonid seems to be disappointed about women. He says he "met different ones" at school and university, but "did not find a good one

Nobody laughs at Leonid at his village. The village is small, there are no children there. No mayor, no church.

The giant man refuses to go to the doctor. Ukraine pays him an allowance - $30 per month. Recently the allowance was increased by $1.

The tallest man in the world is an Indian freak (see the Guinness book of records! Mebbe I've got a newer version as 'Stadnik the Ukrainian' is not mentioned).

I saw the guy at a regional Asian shopping festival last summer where he had been flown in as a freak show attraction by the organisers of the Shopping Fest as one of its Gimmicks.

They also had the tallest woman in the world (not sure what Race she was).

The Indian freak seemed to be suffering from the medical condition known as Acromegaly.

If you want to call them races or tribes, that's debatable
