‘The country will go down the drain’: Saakashvili warns Ukrainian economy facing collapse, won’t be able to pay pensions in 2021

By Jonny Tickle

The Ukrainian economy is facing an inevitable disaster. That's according to Mikhail Saakashvili, the former president of Georgia, who believes Kiev will soon have trouble fulfilling even the most basic social welfare payments.

Saakashvili, who is the current head of Ukraine’s National Reform Council, told national TV that the country has a huge challenge looming right around the corner.

“The Ukrainian economy is now heading for a big catastrophe. A very strong budget crisis is looming, and Ukraine will have problems with payments of salaries and pensions starting from next year,” he explained, in an interview on Tuesday.

Western-funded Ukrainian 'info warriors' widely mocked after claiming beetroot soup is key instrument of Russian 'hybrid warfare'

2 Dec, 2020 12:08

Beware! While grilled meat, potato pancakes and beetroot soup might sound like a harmless festive spread, in the wrong hands they could actually be secret weapons in Russia’s cultural war on the West.

That’s according to the Hybrid Warfare Analytical Group (HWAG), a well-funded Ukrainian organization dedicated to “countering disinformation and propaganda.” On Tuesday, it published a list of “culinary deceptions,” dishes claimed by Russia but supposedly originating elsewhere, “because food can be an instrument of hybrid warfare as well.”

Among the items listed are summer favorites kholodnik, a chilled soup with chopped egg, and shashlik, meat roasted over hot coals, as well as potato pancakes and stuffed vine leaves. The dish that has Russians seeing red, however, is borsht – or beetroot soup. A beloved staple across Eastern Europe, its origins are notoriously murky, with every grandmother in the region perfecting her own variation.

Accusing Russia of having “culturally appropriated” the recipe, the group insists it is a Ukrainian invention, and should only be spelled “borsh,” as is done in that country. An article on HWAG’s website goes on to say it was made “in Ukraine back in the Middle Ages, when Russia as a state didn’t even exist.” The fact that Ukraine didn’t come into being as a nation until 1919, after lengthy spells as a core part of the Russian Empire, didn’t seem to bother the authors of the piece.

Regarding these Ukranian/Russian hostilities still ongoing, humanity seems, still, to be on a path of destruction. The masses haven't learned much of their masters, if anything.

Whites don't want to ally with each other, the jew is invisible to them, and they focus mostly on themselves and their 5 friends. Oh yeah, and their 5000 associates on social media. Does that not describe the average white, worldwide?

Ok. What does this mean? It means that whites - our people - regardless of nation, seem bred for war, with other whites - other tribes - much more so than war against "the jew", with the latter on the sidelines profiting from both, while the white victor(s) of the war profit in a different way, via honor and valor, as well as, yes, spoils of their own. Thus has been the nature of humanity since time immemorial. We know the Jew needs to be neutralized, but our genetics seem to fight the very thought of it. I'm not even sure man can be changed en masse to congregate, organize and charge on the jew, after so many years of warring against each other for our own pride and vanity, while the jew counted coins in his halls of stone.

Yes, it happened with Hitler, for a time, but was stopped rather quickly, and even his own people turned on him. If he had won the War, how long could he have held the Jews and other white peoples at bay? We'll never know.

Cicero, the powerful orator and statesman of Rome, 106-43BC, once reminded a jury of “the odium of Jewish gold” and how they “stick together” and are “influential in informal assemblies”. Over time, many Jews came to live in Rome. One comment made by Cicero in a law court indicates their presence. He was defending a certain Lucius Valerius Flaccus against he charge of not allowing Jews to convey their temple tax to Jerusalem while he was proconsul of Asia. During the trial, to make a point, Cicero said in a hushed tone so as not to be overheard by Jews outside the courtroom, "For you know how numerous they are and how clannish, and how they can make their influence felt. from the book [b]Apostle on the Edge: An Inductive Approach to Paul[]b - by Michael R. Cosby.

A powerful statesmen, Cicero - the equivalent to a modern day high-ranking politician - having to whisper about the jews in his own domain; if this doesn't state clearly the power of the jew and how ingrained its ways are within him, I don't know what does.

I listened to a J.R.R Tolkien interview once, and he claimed, directly, that the Dwarves are based on Jews, due to their hoarding of artifacts and walling off from the world. It's an accurate perception, but you could hear him speed his speech up and hush it slightly while he spoke it, and that was only to state this very obvious, very bland truth about jews, and this interview was in the 1960's! Even then, a prolific author was feeling the jews' power, much like Cicero. Whites have known the nature of jews for centuries, and have essentially learned to live with them. We see jews almost as mosquitoes, most of humanity anyway, just needing to be ignored, maybe swatted once in awhile. But. some of us see them as mosquitoes requiring DDT., and immediately. It's this chasm between whites that prevents us from uniting against the jew: one faction of whites sees them as bystanders, the other as enemy.

Begins at 10:35 - My comments in blue.

"The Dwarves of course quite obviously, couldn't say you say in many ways they remind you of the jews? (poses it as a question as to defer potential blame/scrutiny from himself) All their words are Semitic, obviously constructed to be Semitic. There is a tremendous love of the artifact and of course the immense warlike capacity of the jews to which we tend to forget now and then. (Reminding us how whites, particularly 'polite' white society does not mention the nature of jews out of fear of of social pressure.) Hobbits are just rustic English people made small in size because it reflects the general small reach of their imagination. But its not the small reach of their courage or latent power."(Alluding to the inherent potential of the white race to do truly great things.) - J.R.R. Tolkien, 1964

Popular Ukrainian mayor Gennady Kernes survived a sniper attack but succumbed to COVID

BY CNAAN LIPHSHIZ DECEMBER 18, 2020 3:35 PM

(JTA) — Gennady Kernes, a beloved Ukrainian-Jewish mayor who once narrowly survived a gunman’s attempt on his life, has died of the COVID-19 virus in Germany. He was 61.

Kernes, who had served as the mayor of the city of Kharkiv since 2010, died Wednesday in Germany, where he had been comatose in a hospital for several weeks following his contraction of COVID in September, the news site RBC reported.

The athletically-built lover of fitness and the outdoors was hiking near his native Kharkiv in 2014 when a sniper shot him in the back with a rifle. Several of his vital organs were seriously damaged and he was flown for treatment in Israel. Since the incident he had been a wheelchair user, and authorities never caught the shooter.
(...)
Kernes was able to win easily a second term, despite even the controversial 25% raise in pay he gave himself in 2014, when Ukraine’s economy was crashing.

Ukraine's jew president Volodymyr Zelensky is voted "Loser of the Year":

Quote:
Ukrainian President Zelensky voted country’s ‘Loser of the Year’, predecessor Poroshenko named runner-up

22 Dec, 2020 15:14

By Jonny Tickle

A Ukrainian opinion poll has crowned President Volodymyr Zelensky as ‘Loser of the Year’, with 28 percent of respondents giving the country's leader the unwanted honor.

The survey, which polled residents of 131 Ukrainian settlements, reveals just how divided opinion is on the former comedian, with Zelensky also winning 15 percent of the votes for ‘Politician of the Year’ – more than any other candidate.

Funded by the Dutch government, and conducted jointly by the Democratic Initiatives Foundation and the Kiev International Institute of Sociology, the study sheds light on the falling popularity of the Ukrainian president, who won 46 percent of the votes for ‘Politician of the Year’ in 2019. Both of the institutions conducting the survey have a history of working for foreign governments, including Britain and the US.

Israeli court orders Ukrainian Airlines to pay $3,100 for employees’ anti-Semitic remarks

DECEMBER 23, 2020 3:18 PM

(JTA) — An Israeli court has ordered Ukrainian Airlines to pay damages to passengers who said that employees made anti-Semitic jokes at their expense.

The ruling this week by the Rishon Lezion Small Claims Courts was on a lawsuit filed last year by two passengers who said that two female staffers on April 24, 2019, asked “why do the Jews have such problems with paying” and said “only 60 euros and the Jews won’t pay” during boarding in Vienna, Austria.

Ukrainian Airlines was ordered to pay each of the two plaintiff $1,554 in damages, the Israeli newspaper Globes reported Tuesday, though it denied their personnel made the remarks.

According to the ruling, the employees made the comments after the two passengers transferred objects from their carry-on luggage to the hold luggage to avoid paying a surcharge, the court ruled.

Since the fall of communism, many thousands of Orthodox Jews have flown each year with Ukrainian Airlines to Jewish heritage sites in Ukraine, including the city of Uman. Racist incidents involving the firm and Jewish passengers are extremely rare.

Kiev’s Christmas gift to Crimea: Ukraine pledges to sabotage Russian efforts to avert humanitarian crisis amid water shortages

25 Dec, 2020 11:05

By Jonny Tickle

Russian officials have hit back at Ukraine after Kiev revealed plans to hinder Crimea’s attempts to avert a humanitarian crisis due to a lack of water. Many local residents have been affected by restrictions.

In many parts of the peninsula, water is issuing from taps for only six hours a day. Crimea has experienced water shortages since 2014, when the Ukrainian government built a dam on a canal that had previously provided around 85 percent of the area’s water. The canal was constructed by Moscow, when Russia and Ukraine were both part of a union state.

Since the blockade, Russia has repeatedly accused Kiev of human rights violations. However, Western nations have remained remarkably silent on the matter, as have non-governmental organizations concerned with human rights.

In order to tackle the water shortage, the Crimean authorities have committed to building a desalination plant from next month, with the possibility of constructing more in the future. On Thursday, Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmitry Kuleba revealed Kiev would step in to prevent Russia from alleviating the problem.

“In Crimea, they said that they are trying to attract a large international company to implement desalination technology,” Kuleba said. “[After the announcement] we immediately started work … and we will prevent it from implementing this project."

In Ukraine, far-right protesters demand Israel apologize for communist oppression

JANUARY 7, 2021 4:22 PM

(JTA) — After Israel’s ambassador to Ukraine condemned the honoring of Nazi collaborators in the former Soviet republic, dozens of people rallied outside the Israeli Embassy in Kyiv demanding that Jews apologize for Soviet oppression.

The far-right activists called on Israel and the Jews to assume responsibility specifically for Holodomor, a famine that killed millions of Ukrainians in the 1930s and is widely believed to have been caused by the government of Joseph Stalin, then the leader of the Soviet Union.
(...)
Ultranationalists in Ukraine and beyond have often blamed Jews for Holodomor, citing the support of many Jews for communism and the prominent positions of power that some of Jewish origins achieved under its rule in the Soviet Union — even though they were often involved in the persecution of other Jews for their faith, which Eastern Bloc Jews were often discouraged from practicing.

Jewish support for communism increased as forces loyal to the czarist regime perpetrated multiple pogroms against Jews.

‘This issue is not on the agenda’: Kremlin rejects suggestions that Ukraine’s breakaway Donbass should be integrated into Russia

29 Jan, 2021 17:45

Russia has no plans to absorb the Donbass region of Ukraine and the Kremlin is solely focused on protecting the Russian-speaking population of that area, according to comments on Friday from spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

Peskov's remarks came after RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan spoke at the ‘Russian Donbass’ conference in Donetsk on Thursday, at which she appealed to the authorities to place the territory under Moscow’s control.

“Russia takes a very responsible position in the effort to assist Ukraine in resolving its internal crisis,” Peskov said. “This issue is not on the agenda, either directly or indirectly.”

“Margarita Simonyan is a media manager and journalist. She can in no way be the spokesperson for the official position of the Russian Federation,” he clarified.

The spokesman noted that, while taking control of Donbass is not on the Kremlin’s agenda, the region has “always been Russian-speaking" and Moscow intends to stand up for its residents.

Ukraine's jew president Volodymyr Zelensky wants "his" country to join NATO:

Ukrainian President Zelensky admits he's ‘angry’ with Trump over leaked phone call, expresses hope Biden will help Kiev join NATO

1 Feb, 2021 17:31

By Jonny Tickle

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has criticized former US President Donald Trump for his move to release the transcript of an infamous 2019 phone call between the two leaders, calling the breach of privacy "totally wrong."
(...)
"I think this is totally wrong," the president noted in the interview, recorded last week. "This was the first serious conversation between two presidents, between strategic partners. And in any case, neither of us has the right to make such things public."

In 2019, politicians from the US Democratic Party claimed that Trump called Zelensky to force him to launch an investigation into the activities of Ukrainian gas holding Burisma by withholding military aid. At the time, Hunter Biden, the son of Joe, sat on the company's board of directors. Following the call, the former president was impeached, before being acquitted in early 2020 by the Republican-held Senate.
(...)
Zelensky also told Axios about his ambition for Ukraine to join the US-led military alliance NATO, noting that "Mr. President, why are we not in NATO yet?" will be his first question upon meeting Biden.

Western pundits believed post-Maidan Ukraine would serve as an ‘example’ for Russia – in reality, it’s become a cautionary tale

6 Feb, 2021 07:40 / Updated 7 hours ago

By Paul Robinson, a professor at the University of Ottawa. He writes about Russian and Soviet history, military history, and military ethics, and is author of the Irrussianality blog

Many Russian liberals and foreign pundits saw Ukraine's 2014 'Maidan' as an event that would inspire change in Moscow. Today, as an increasingly dysfunctional Kiev clamps down on free speech, it looks more like a cautionary tale.

In May 2014, newly elected Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko promised that he would rapidly bring peace to his country. "The anti-terrorist operation cannot and should not last two or three months. It should and will last hours," he said.

Nearly 60,000 hours later, the war into which the badly named "anti-terrorist operation" morphed is still going on. Poroshenko’s successor Volodymyr Zelensky similarly promised to bring the fighting to an end. "My main goal… is that I want to end the war. This is my mission within these five years," he told journalists. But he has been equally unsuccessful.
(...)
Unfortunately, since then Zelensky has betrayed those voters time after time.

Not only has he failed to take any of the steps required to bring the war to an end – most notably, the concessions demanded in the 2015 Minsk II agreements – but his government has also further suppressed the language rights of Ukrainians and is now clamping down on the opposition media.
(...)
Thus, Zelensky has done nothing to reverse the 2019 law on official languages, which sharply restricts the use of Russian. Most notably, on January 16 a new rule came into effect which obliges all service providers (shops, restaurants, etc.) to offer their services in Ukrainian by default. Meanwhile, censorship in Ukraine has reached new levels of silliness, prohibiting for instance a book about the Vikings by an American author because it referred to ancient Kievan Rus’ as "Russia."

Now Zelensky has gone even further, banning three television stations owned by opposition politician Taras Kozak, on the grounds that they are spreading Russian disinformation. Zelensky claims that he supports freedom of speech but not "propaganda financed by the aggressors." "These media have become one of the tools in the war against Ukraine, so they are blocked in order to protect national security," said Zelensky’s spokesperson Yuliia Mendel.
(...)
It is also, of course, deeply undemocratic in character. Had former president Viktor Yanukovich, who was overthrown in the February 2014 Maidan revolution, ever attempted such a thing, Ukrainian liberals and their Western allies would have cried huge screams of outrage. Now, however, they are silent, or even supportive. The US Embassy in Kiev, for instance, issued a statement that it backed the measure as designed "to counter Russia’s malign influence."

The US response reveals the shallowness of Western assertions that in backing the Maidan revolution and subsequent governments they are supporting democracy, human rights, and a liberal order. In reality, geopolitics seems to be the primary concern. As long as Ukraine remains resolutely anti-Russia, a blind eye will be turned to nearly all and any abuses of democratic principles.

Ukraine suggests NATO fly warplanes & troop transports near Crimea, increasing bloc’s presence on already tense Black Sea coast

11 Feb, 2021 14:53 / Updated 2 days ago

American fighter pilots and paratroopers could soon be getting better views of the scenic Russian south, under plans by Ukraine to invite NATO nations’ warplanes to fly close to its border with the disputed Crimean peninsula.

On Thursday, the Ministry of Infrastructure in Kiev announced that it had reached out to the military bloc’s generals to offer the use of airspace in the Simferopol Flight Information Region, which covers Crimea and its frontiers with Ukraine.

As well as hoping “for NATO support in monitoring the air situation along the border with Russia,” officials have proposed the skies be “used for NATO air operations in the airspace… which includes airspace over the sovereign territory of Ukraine and over open waters, such as The Black Sea, where the responsibility for air traffic services is delegated to Ukraine by international treaties.”

With Crimean reservoirs running low, Ukraine vows to complete dam on canal which once provided almost 85% of the peninsula’s water

18 Feb, 2021 11:38

By Jonny Tickle

Seven years after Ukraine erected a makeshift dam to block the water supply to ‘disputed’ Crimea, Kiev’s emissary to the region threatened that the Black Sea peninsula will receive no water until Moscow lifts its “occupation.”

Writing on Facebook, Anton Korinevich, designated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to oversee policy on the matter, said that the blockade on the North Crimean Canal would be soon be made permanent. Before the canal was filled in, it provided around 85 percent of the local water supply.

The makeshift dam, hastily constructed in 2014 by the Ukrainian government, has increased the risk of a potential humanitarian crisis, with the peninsula already suffering from shortages due to climate change and a lack of rainfall. Moscow has repeatedly accused Ukraine of human rights violations and has criticized international organizations for remaining silent.

After meeting with the canal management, Korinevich revealed the country’s “unambiguous” position – “no water to Crimea until de-occupation.”

Despite not meeting key criteria for European Union accession, Ukraine’s President Zelensky says country will join bloc by 2030

19 Feb, 2021 16:24

By Jonny Tickle

Ukraine joining the European Union is not a matter of if, but when, according to its president, Volodymyr Zelensky, who predicted Kiev would be welcomed into the 27-member bloc before the end of the decade.

Speaking to a meeting of officials on Thursday, Zelensky said Ukraine has now become a “credible and responsible member of the international community,” making a significant contribution to global and regional security and stability.

According to a summary of conferences on the official presidential website, Ukrainian politicians have discussed how “membership in the European Union is no longer a hypothetical possibility – it is a matter of time, and must be decided before the end of the decade.” The officials have also discussed further integration into EU markets and how to achieve membership of NATO.

Ukraine condemns ‘persecution of journalists’ in Belarus… after shutting down outlets at home linked to largest opposition party

21 Feb, 2021 21:04 / Updated 11 hours ago

Ukraine has condemned a series of searches in Belarus targeting journalists and rights activists, but the scolding comes amid Kiev's own full-blown crackdown on opposition press and politicians at home – fully supported by the US.

Strongly denouncing the recent events in Belarus “where authorities continue (to) pressure and persecute journalists,” Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba and Culture Minister Oleksandr Tkachenko lashed out at Minsk in a statement on Sunday.
(...)
Ironically, Ukrainian concerns over press freedom within the neighboring country came amid a massive campaign against the opposition press launched by Kiev. Early in February, President Volodymyr Zelensky issued a decree that kicked off a series of “special economic and other restrictive sanctions” targeting a total of eight news organizations. The outlets had their assets blocked, as well as being ordered not to move money out of the country.
